I don't know what any of that means but it sounds exhilarating. After reading your post, I realized I haven't been this excited since ... yesterday, when I heard the news the Flyers broadcasts will be on a different radio station. Thrilling! This forum is like a meeting place of the world's top scientists, intellectuals and philosophers. I consider myself a scientific intellectual philosopher.

I know it sounds crazy, but I've put alot of time into researching this premise and I really think it can work.

I've been thinking long and hard about this and I have reached the conclusion that if the Flyers score more goals than the Devils tonight, they will win the game. Score more goals - it's the key. They should employ this strategy. I'm serious.

I'm sure Kadri and Colborne are the next wave in a series of "can't miss" future Leaf superstars, in the tradition of former greats like Stajan, Steen, Tlusty, and Kulemin.

Actually, I don't think they are much better than their record. I do think if they were healthy they would have finished with more points than the Southeast teams and thus, snaggged a 7th or 8th seed. However, if you put a healthy Sabres team in the Atlantic, they would finish fifth ... IN THE DIVISION. The Rangers, Pens, Flyers and Devils all proved to be vastly superior teams than the Sabres, healthy or not. We all warned Rick back in July, August, and September that he was overrating the Sabres forward corps by a mile, and the defense corps by whatever the length of an average Kuato post is. Miller was their one trump card that could negate the Sabres glaring deficiencies, and we all see what happened when he didn't play well. Bottomline: They are barely an average team.

Hey Rick, I forgot to check the standings ... did the Sabres win the Presidents Trophy this season? I fondly remember you back in the Summer on philly.com repeatedly referring to the Sabres as a "shoe-in" or "favorite" or something or other, to win the Presidents Trophy Just wondering how that went.

I'm just happy that the Bourdon - Carle pairing has been dissolved. Every time they were out on the ice I would get agita.

As canuck and a few others have already stated, if you have a chance to get Weber for JVR or Schenn + a pick, then you HAVE to do it. He is a franchise-caliber defenseman who is in his mid-20's. He is easily worth a quality young forward like JVR or Schenn along with the first (in fact, he would be a bargain at that price, even without a contract past this season). However, if Weber (or a player like Suter or Yandle) is not available, I think you stay status quo with this roster. Trading JVR or Schenn for some washed-up has-been, with no heart (I'm looking at you, Gonchar and Kaberle) would be a TERRIBLE mistake.
