I don't look for the worst in everything. The thing with the Flyers is, you don't have to look for the worst, it just comes and beats you in the face. EVERY...FREAKIN' ....SEASON! If they tore this team down and did an actual rebuild, I would LOVE following this team again. I'm just sick and tired of barely in, barely out.

In the last 20 drafts, there have been arguably a handful of players better than Laughton taken at the 20th pick, where he was. In the last 20 years they might arguably be a handful of GMs worse than Holmgren. Hardly the same thing. Laughton isn't great. But he's far from terrible. He's an average player making an average salary. Every team has them. Several. I just can't see the hate

I've never said they should play hardball, ever. Pay them what they're worth. pay them what they earn. Stop paying them for Gee maybe if we grossly overpay Hayes he'll grow a spine and break a sweat. Look at the looooooooooooooooooong list of bad contracts this team has given out....it's ridiculous. Every year we talk about buyouts and getting out from under these stupid deals, just to sign more of them. Meet the new boss.....

Lets see, they're still paying Bryz NOT to play, they're paying Peterson to NOT play in the NHL and they just re-upped Fedotov for 2 years at $3.25 million for putting up some of the worst numbers I've seen in the NHL. Why doesn't Comcast just get an incinerator for their money?

While I agree with most of what you say here, the Flyers (ok, a franchise that doesn't constantly spend money on what they hope they'll become) could have done all this for half the money. I know it's not my money, it's just more of the Flyers overpaying guys who haven't done squat. You want a new culture on the team? How about earn your paycheck?

I guess they valued Gauthier more. And I'm sure injuries were a concern. And yes, Drysdale isn't exactly great defensively....yet I've never heard of him mentioned in "Most Overrated Player" conversations.

They aren't winning. And his play is a big reason. It's why he's available.
