Hello everyone, welcome to the first installment of Trade Wars: Habsguy26 vs HF101! You may already be familiar with this series, as Hockeybuzz bloggers Richard Cloutier and Travis Yost did the exact same thing a while ago.

As for the rules, they will be very similar to Travis and Richard's rules. I, will be the acting GM for every team in the Eastern Conference while my colleague HF101 will be the GM for every team in the Western conference. Each of the 15 teams from each conference HAS to have one trade completed, and they can't make more than one trade. Each blog will contain 5 trades (not including counter offers) and they will either be declined or accepted in the next blog. Salary cap WILL come into affect and will be based off of Capgeek.com. All NTC/NMC will be assumed waived. So, I think that covers just about everything.... so lets get to it!!!

First Trade offer:

New York Rangers offer

Wojtek Wolski, Artem Anisimov, Dan Girardi and a conditional 2012 1st round pick

(if the Rangers make it to the Eastern Conference Finals)

To the Calgary Flames for

Jarome Iginla.

-----------------------------------------

Second Trade offer:

Washington Capitals offer

Michal Neuvrith, Joel Ward, Karl Alzner and Cody Eakin

To the Anaheim Ducks for

Bobby Ryan and a 2012 2nd round pick.

--------------------------------------------

Third Trade offer:

New Jersey Devils offer

Zach Parise and Mark Fayne

To the Los Angeles Kings for

Jonathon Bernier, Andrei Loktionov, Slava Voynov and Dustin Penner.

--------------------------------------

Fourth Trade offer:

Pittsburgh Peguins offer

Tyler Kennedy

To the Minnesota Wild for

Greg Zanon and a 2013 1st round pick.

-----------------------------------------

Fifth Trade offer:

Tampa Bay Lightning offer

Ryan Malone, Mathieu Garon and their 2012 and 2013 1st round picks

To the Vancouver Canucks for

Roberto Luongo and Alexander Burrows.

If this is set up like what was done at Hockeybuzz, the GM's are judged for their total group acquired for the East vs West. Then set a poll.
