It's getting harder to be Kings

blog-0851101001323117652.jpgScoring is becoming a problem for the Kings. Mike Richards, just when he was getting hot (7 goals in his last 8 games) is expected to miss at least 7 days after being hit by Bergenheim last Wednesday which is not good news if you are Kings fan. He leads the Kings with 8 even-strength goals. Gagne and Kopitar are next on the list with 6 but there's a big drop off after that. The rest of the boys have 2 or fewer.

34 even-strength goals is good enough for 29th in the league. That's not going to get it done.

Standing at 7th in the conference, Terry Murray has more line juggling to do. Playing Gagne with Kopitar and Williams seems to have some chemistry in practice but some fans want to see D. Brown on Kopitar's right side. At this point, it's worth a try to see if these guys can pot some even strength goals.

Next up: The Anaheim Mighty Ducks (er ah, Ducks?) What better cure for the lack of goal scoring then playing the Ducks who's goal differential is 2nd worst in the league.

A little trivia for 'ya.

If the Kings keep it up at this pace, do you know who the only other team is to score fewer goals since the lockout?

Thanks for reading and GO KINGS!
