"Getting' Wild at the Madhouse"

First, in honor of Big Hoss' 1,000th game this past Sunday against the Dead Wings, the beloved Blackhawks will honor his milestone by wearing commemorative jerseys during warmups and holding a pre-game ceremony tonight. Big Hoss has 921 points during his 15-year NHL career. Many of you know already that he signed with the Blackhawks in the summer of 2009. The commemorative warmup jerseys will include Hossa’s name and number, 81, on the back. Each jersey will be autographed by Hossa and the player who wore it during warmups and then be auctioned on chicagoblackhawks.com. Good luck if you elect to bid.

Now to tonight's action…

First, welcome back Rat, its good to see you in the lineup. Tonight, the Minnesota Wild come to the Madhouse on Madison. In the last meeting between the two teams, the Wild beat the 3-2 in a shootout at Xcel Energy Center on January 30th. The Wild are coming off their fifth win in seven games, a 4-2 victory over the Oilers Sunday. The Blackhawks have outscored opponents 24-13 during their nine-game winning streak and are looking to getting their 20th win of the season, which would also be a franchise-record tenth in a row. The Blackhawks also want to prevent the Wild from gaining any psychological edge against them by getting a victory tonight. Sidenote: Frolik missed the morning skate and I anticipate him missing tonight's contest.

Regarding The Crow:

It appears that he is fully recovered as he definitely looked great against the Dead Wings Sunday, and it came out that he had flu like systems/dehydration during Thursday's game against the Blues.

Below are the NHL Rankings of the two teams:

Wild 11-8-2 24pts:

Goals for: 2.24 (26)

Goals against: 2.38 (7)

PP%: 14.5 (23)

PK%: 86.2 (5)

Blackhawks 19-0-3 41pts:

Goals for: 3.04 (4)

Goals against : 1.73 (1)

PP%: 17.9 (13)

PK%: 89.7 (3)

Did you know:

1) The Blackhawks have lost the last three matchups against the Wild, all in shootouts. This changes tonight with a Blackhawks victory in regulation.

2) The Crow, who made 32 saves Sunday, is 10-0-3 with an NHL-leading 1.41 gaa

3) The Razor is 3-0-1 versus Minnesota while the Crow is 2-1-2

4) How do you casterate an Minnesota Wild fan? Kick his sister in the mouth.

5) Whats the difference between the Minnesota Wild and a mosquito? A mosquito stops sucking.

Tonight's expected Hawks lineup

Offense:

Saad Tazer Hossa

Sharpie Rat Kaner

Bicks Shaw Stalberg

Carbomb Krugs Meyer

Defense:
