Del Zotto, might want to stay with the Flyers. He has been good on, and off the ice. He is reportedly well liked in the room. After his experiences in NY and Nashville he might be willing to give up the maximum dollar for security with a team that has great potential going forward.

We just got rid of a stupid contract last season, and now we want to take on another one? Even if it is for 2 years, I say no way. He is a selfish player who needs to get his life under control, and act like a professional. There's better options than him, for sure.

MDZ is what, 25 years old and the Flyers best all around Dman? I really hope they don't trade him. At least till prospects prove their worth and make him expendable. Nowhere near that yet

@murraycraven Hextall is at a critical point in shaping the Flyers future. Most of the Flyers recent draft choices are offensively minded, defensemen. They offer a great future for the Flyers, but good offensively minded defensemen command high dollar contracts. The current Flyer defensive prospects offer the potential for the Flyers to role three relatively equal pairs of gifted defensemen, an unheard of situation in the NHL. Crap reporting. Schenn didn't "Reject" that offer (at least not on Saturday). Those were the numbers submitted to arbitration. The team is going low and Schenn is going high. It's how it works when they're prepping for arbitration. All the other arbitration numbers that have leaked out have been in similar ballparks as far as the gap.

I would hope that Del Zotto plays well enough this year that Hextall is willing to re-sign him and he asks for a reasonable contract. Going forward with vets like Del Zotto, Gudas, and (unfortunately) MacDonald would be nice while Gostisbehere, Provorov, etc... find their way

Perry has always been a dirty player, was even worse in jr for the London Knights. We have a player, who has a great center, nice top pp, but his stats are average for a guy who is considered a "star" player. Just a guy who you would love to have on your team, hate him if he's not....a lot like Simmonds, but Wayne can back it up.

as in, trade him and retain salary? i'd say go for it, if you can find a taker. i think he is a fair 4/5 dman at ~$3mil. terrible at $5mil, but reduce the cost and who knows?
