Powe will be a good leader in the AHL and he's a good call up when Flyers have injures. Powe doesn't make stupid mistakes and is pretty decent on the PK.

Rumblings out of Chicago is that Sharp may be available. Not sure if they are true or not but Toews and Kane's contracts are up in 2015 and I'm sure they will get hefty raises which might mean Patrick Sharp may be the odd man out. Would Flyers be willing to trade for him? and what would you give up for Sharp?

Gus, Coburn and L.Schenn have speed yet never leave the blueline. I agree with the post that offense starts with the defense..Flyers D needs to pinch more than they do because the shots form the point aren't working...especially our D that can't hit the net.

Definitely, who says that Jake and Harts deserve that 1st line spot...I haven't seen it this year. Read, Schenn and Couts are better deserved at least they try, the 3rd line has been the best line for the Flyers most of the season.

Plus the fact that VLC has the most goals on the team right now but by all means lets trade our top producer for some garbage. Hartnell has to be bounced off Giroux's line, no chemistry there and bump up Read or Schenn, put Harts on 3rd or 4th line. Please for the love of God send Raffl back and give us McGinn, why the management doesn't bring him up doesn't make sense but not making sense is a norm for the Flyers brass. I still have no idea why this team can only score in spurts...given up on figuring this out with all these talented young players. Last night they looked like a PeeWee hockey team.

Different type of player Giroux, not the same as Crosby who can do things all on his own. Giroux needs a supporting winger to shine and when his wingers are slumping he will as well. I would compare Giroux more to Malkin the way he plays...Malkin just went through a 13 game slump because his linemates were slumping as well.

Agreed, would definitely do Giroux some good hanging around talented Canadian players that could help him score. There's some great veteran leadership on the proposed Canadian roster already.

I can't see the Leafs letting Phaneuf walk. Franson is available(RFA status) and has shown signs of a solid Dman and a right handed shot as well.
