    I'm not sure about this assumption. Good scouting should be able to find good Dman. Make a trade to move up to get the guy you really want etc.

    Lol, my math sucks so I got lost in the twos a bit there. My view of the present is mostly along the lines of: building a winning culture, or a culture of winning (they may not be the same thing), is what matters. I'd much rather the young guys start building that than the opposite, which is an expectation of losing. All the talent in the world can't necessarily fix that once it takes hold.
