    The Flyer's defensive crew are a blue collar group at best,since Pronger left nobody here took the lead and nothing has changed. Mc Donald is just one more mediocre NHLer' not a star or even close. The Flyers have three young guys coming soon,time to be patient. Chief has got these guys playing about as good as the talent available,it's just not enough. Great effort,but no cigar!

    First try to imagine a call like that happening in the NFL, the NHL officiating doesn't get near the scrutiny of the professionals leagues,more along the lines of the NBA.(lot of bad calls) If the Flyers had been up 4-1,no controversy. What happen to the team that looked like a power house in LA and San Jose? Where did that team go? The Flyer's need to give 110% for 60 minutes,every game for the rest of the season. Whats the chance of that happening ?

    Here is a chance for the boys to show what they are made of. This is where the "Little Flyers" typically fall on their faces. After the poor performance in Toronto,tonight's might be a good indicator of what to expect the rest of the season. Anybody seen Luukko?

    If Homer could get any player in the league,who would he choose to solve this mess? What's here is a team wide curse! Homer needs to exterminate it,before it gets worse.

    I was thinking the same thing except for Downie! Maybe Rinaldo and Raffle would be a better fit? Cooter and Read are about as anti-physical contact as any two on the Flyers!

    When you are a "Kazillionaire" you can say anything! I hope nothing tragic happens in the next two weeks and everybody comes back happy and healthy!

    Would getting Hainsey guarantee a cup? Last night's game was a nice result of a team effort,every body contributed,had fun,entertained us fans,won the game. What else could you want? Maybe it's time to leave Timmonen in the press box? Chief is definitely doing something right!

    It seems the prototype NHL defense man is constructed like Jones/Nurse/Morin/Pronger,/etc. That may be part of the problem,what da'ya' think?

    Clarkie is Snider's mains squeeze and Homer is Clarkie's main squeeze! As long as Clarkie is around not much is going to change,you know trade JVR for a bucket of crap!

    Whats needed here is solid "D" talent. Tough enough to do the job,(clear the crease) fundamentally sound skills,North American (right attitude)player. Leadership skills would be a plus. That could be a "D" man or forward,somebody not afraid of his shadow. Lauridsen could be an improvement? How about McGinn? Couldn't hurt.

    Something very ugly is happening here. Lukko mysteriously left, Hexie,Homer and Clarkie strangely silent,minimal movement of any type,no trades,nothing! What gives?

    I gotta' think Downie is hurt. Did he really recover from that scrap in the earlier Cap's game? It seems like Vinnie didn't. Anybody wonder why more Phantoms aren't getting a chance with the big club? I like to see Lauridsen spend a little with the big club,couldn't be any worse!

    Homer's absence considering the present stagnancy of the Flyers is amazing. Normally he would be running around the league,"bustin' a gut" to make a move,any move. If you think last night's game was bad wait until Bruins show up. If there was ever a good time for Homer to pull a rabbit out of his hat,this is it!

    If patience is the new MO I suggest out with the old in with the new,bring on the young players! Another "D" man prospect like Morin would really look good back there. While discussing mentors,Eric Lindros in my opinion,would be a great choice to instill a winning spirit here,something missing for a long time.

    Just read a piece from Fat Frankie interviewing Chief on the web. Big week coming up three games in four nights gotta' keep the guys balanced,blah,blah. Anybody here wonder why McGinn,when he is here doesn't play much,blink you eyes and he is gone. McGinn seems to have the skills that are in short supply with the Flyers(talent&balls). Maybe it would be a good time to lower ticket prices?

    After Gene Hart everybody since and present,except "Jonsie" has totally lacking in basic skills. Too many "old boys"!

    My take on Richards and Carter is neither one is capable of what was expected of them by the Flyers. LA doesn't expect them to carry the whole team.The present Flyers are slow mentally and physically. Chief is doing a great job with a room of under performers!

    At this point I think everybody should be able to agree on is that Homer&Clarkie can't compete as GMs at the NHL level! The present situation is a long ways from a one player solution,this plague is team wide. This might a good time for Ed to consider a Harvard man,former Mariner,a proven record? Anybody seen Lukko?

    The Flyers don't have anybody any of the other teams want! No more JVRs. It took a while,but Homer&Clarkie have reached the bottom.

    There was a time when this team could more than three goals a game, making up for a subpar goalie performance!
