  1. For some reason the picture isn't showing above (at least for me)
  2. All right, with currency conversion and postage this is the most expensive glass on my collection. I poured a pale ale in it, it's fine, I guess
  3. I don't care what they do as long as he doesn't set foot in the locker room again. He's a cancer of a player and if a team does trade for him they're incredibly stupid
  4. I believe nhl.tv is espn+ now I really don't know, I tried getting the Australian version and it asked me for a foxtel login so I got a refund by challenging it through paypal
  5. And I also realised: when has a team retired a number zero players have worn?
  6. Retiring a number before finishing their first season, that's got to be a record
  7. Final score 4-2 Vancouver win, with goal 4 being empty net. Boy period 3 was on the whole pretty dull. Some great moments but overall lacklustre play from both teams. If both teams play their seasons like this we won't see either in the playoffs

  9. End of the second, score tied 1-1 Play was a lot more even, though Vancouver got the only goal. Seattle early on was checking a bit more, Vancouver using their transition game. If either team were against a more skilled opponent the scores would not be tied. Flubbed passes and bad receives are happening all over the ice by both teams and it's hard to watch at times. If one team gets more discipline in its fundamentals in the third, the game will go to them.
  10. End of the first, Seattle score in the dying seconds to be up 1-0 Boy, that score doesn't reflect the play that was for the majority of the period. Seattle struggled to keep the puck in their forward zone, most of the time making bad entries that are immediately pushed back by a strong Vancouver defence. Seattle's defence held up remarkably well under a lot of pressure from Vancouver's forwards, managing to keep the puck out of the net and minimising the number of times shots got through to the keeper. Hmm. I doubt Seattle will win this one, their defence will crack sooner or later and Vancouver will run over them- unless their forwards get their **** together
  11. It makes sense they'd make the home opener against the team the league wants to be their natural rival, I'll check it out of for no other reason than getting a look at those snazzy looking jumpers in action
  12. Options considered for keeping Kane out of the team once his suspension is over
  13. Seattle undertook a rigorous process
  14. It still blows my mind that after spending what, $1.5 billion? on this team (license, stadium rebuild, team setup costs etc) they'd hand the keys to him
  15. This is gonna be a long season for Seattle if they stay like this
  16. I was talking about him with my parents last night and my dad said "you'd think after declaring bankruptcy he'd avoid getting into trouble" and I just said "you'd think so, but he's a dickhead"
  17. Hmm, that could make for a good addition to my glass collection
  18. They've released the schedule for the first season. Something about this whole league smells. It's not endorsed by IHA, and the timetable from 'announce new league' to first game is absurdly short. It feels like there's something dodgy going on, like it's a tax write off, or some sort of vanity project created due to petty personal politics. Oh well. I'll be going if for no other reason than I haven't been to a hockey game since 2019.
  19. Now let's hope they don't trade him in three years
