1)Minnesota. They need young star power in the worst possible way. Suter and Praise are + 35 and getting worse each season. Landing a talented winger like Alexis could attract a legit star center through free agency. This team has never had a super star center (apologies to the Koivu contingent...lol).

I don't know OR??  I can't find anything anywhere stating he (Rinne) is hurt.  For the record Saros is in goal again today.  Did Nashville make a tactical mistake?  It will certainly be an interesting off season for the Preds if they are eliminated today.

Rinne definitely struggled a bit more this year even though Rinne has more playoff experience.  Maybe the Preds were hoping to see something from Saros since both will be in their last year of their contract in  20-21.

Lots of ??? for the Preds for sure.....

I doubt Saros is getting moved.  If anything not making it to the playoffs suggests that Nashville will not have to fork out a large contract to sign him.

  3. Should the NHL continue with a 24 Team Playoff format in the future permanently?  I think it is something to definitely think about.

The NHL has used a 16-team playoff format since the 1979-80 campaign when there were only 21 franchises.   Expansion to 32 teams seems like something to consider considering the parity in the league.   I would think that this would be favorable to the league, owners, players and fans.   What are your thoughts?

"I think the league is so tight and the league has grown over my time in the league with the number of teams, it should be a heavy consideration," Trotz said Thursday, per Newsday's Andrew Gross.

"There’s too much parity in the NHL," Trotz added. "I think it’s something the league will consider for sure and I’d be in favor of it."

Is this the first time a top level sports franchise has been named after an animal that doesn't exist (and has never existed)?

Bears, ducks, coyotes, ..... etc.  They all exist.

Raptors, knights, pirates, .... etc.  They all existed.

    Kraken's... not so much.   :)

Avalanche have Bigfoot as a secondary logo,  And then there also the  NJ Devils...
