Just watched the clip and yes he did include himself when making the comments but those remarks have some specific targets. Speculation that Bruce Boudreau should sit Knuble for the devils game, please...Knuble cut right to the heart of the problem, it is up to Bruce Boudreau to come into the practice and address the "clowns" with issues. I always hated the screw ups that got you extra laps at practice and I am sure that Knuble does too.

I always have and always will like Simon Gagne. I was pissed when he was basically let go but that was one of the hard decisions that Homer had to make (and the right one). I am in total agreement with not wanting him to get Lindrosed/Primeaued.

LOL...I was thinking exactly the same thing fc..and it is probably a safe bet that Eric's parents won't be part of that deal. I always liked his (Lindros) style of play when he wore the O&B. If he had ever learned to keep his head up he would have played a lot longer in the league.

Between Clarke and Homer, both have been down that path (substance abuse)and probably went to great lengths to separate them and give them both a chance to get their **** together. They gave them the message to get it together when they shipped off Lupul and Upshall to break up the crew. I think that both Carter and Richards scoffed at that due to the length of the contracts they signed. That was a big mistake on their part. They should have realized that Homer only had a short window to move them before the NMC clauses kicked in.The best part so far is that it looks like the return for sending them away has been tremendous. I really hope those two will get their heads screwed on right and thank Homer for giving them a second chance. Probably won't happen anytime soon but you never know.

I like the way he is gelling with Giroux and Jagr. He is going to score even more down low with Jagr and Giroux drawing the bulk of the attention on the ice.However, I truly hope he starts taking some after hour skating sessions/lessons from Jagr on how to maintain your balance while on skates.

I think what sums up his play the best was when he is flying down the ice, Giroux has the puck, and he signals Giroux to pass to an open Hartnell on the other side of the ice. Totally unselfish play which personally I never expected from Jagr. He has turned out to be a better fit on this team than anyone could have hoped for. Hell, he even has Hartnell scoring again. And yes, I was one of those who thought he would not fit in here due to his style of play over the course of his career. I prefer my crow sauteed with onions, garlic and red pepper and will gladly finish it.

That has got to go down as the most EMBARRASSING.STAT.EVER.

Good Call on the Ron Francis comparison. He might smile like Clarke but it is going to be tough for anybody to match the mean streak he had when he was on the ice.

Pronger makes the PP so much better when he is on the top. Simmonds gets way more action down low when Pronger is firing it on net. He has a huge steadying affect on Carle too.

I seem to remember him coming back real strong last year after he was a healthy scratch for a couple of games. Hopefully that is all the wake up call he needs

Pronger needs to be on the point for the PP. His long reach along with his slap shot completely change how aggressive opposing teams are on the PP. Their troubles with the PP have more than doubled since Pronger has gone out. Gustavson has no real feel for the point, he was out of position almost every time he was on the ice for the PP.

I don't know many people that were happy to give up Sbisa. Did the Flyers get a good return for him? Yes. Did people want to see Sbisa go? No. i think the lack of a real 5/6 d-man is going to get Schenn sent away. Do I think that is a good thing? Not really, but he is one of the stronger bargaining chips the Flyers have got. Bottom line is you have to give to get and the Flyers have too many choices at center for that to be the issue.....

Another textbook reason for dropping the instigator penalty right there. He should have had his ass beaten right then and there. I do like that Shanahan is going the extra mile and showing his reasons for the suspensions. I hope he does that with EVERY suspension.

I am not against moving Schenn for a solid defense man. He has tremendous upside but we need to look at the flyers current defensive makeup. The flyers currently have a glut of centers(a good thing) and a shortage of d-men after the top 2 pairings. Lilja seems like more of a seventh dman than a five or six. Walker is a decent 7th too but not for the money. Pronger and Timmo are both going to be wiped out by playoff time if the Flyers don't get a strong 5 or six dman to carry Lilja or Walker. look at the minutes the top 2 pairings are already logging to carry the weak 3rd pair and it is already showing towards the end of the games. If they are going to keep Schenn, he needs to play top line minutes with the phantoms so he will be ready to step in next year for Jagr who will probably be gone. Bottom line is the Flyers need Defensive Help NOW.
