Hoping for a better 3rd. 2nd period was much better with chances but no finish. I am tired of the officials letting the habs start **** and not have to answer for it. The Tippett penalty was ridiculous…..Players need to be able to police themselves at least to some degree. -
Brindy was my favorite Flyer ever. Was too young to understand Bobby Clark’s play and accomplishments to fully appreciate them at the time. Rod was a warrior and still is. If not for Lindros , I personally think Rod would have stayed a Flyer. Behind the scenes issues and Lindros being the appointed god led to him going to Carolina. I was extremely happy to watch Brindy raise the cup even though it was with another team.

@CoachX makes me think of that Monty Python sketch and the ministry of arguments…. I enjoy the give and take around here myself. This place damn sure ain’t an echo chamber.

Carter and Richards I give you. My point is this team doesn’t predicate team building through hoarding of picks. They have always traded away multiple picks for a win now mentality. Hextall actually tried to do it but was hamstrung by the good ole boys going oh look Shiny! also how many of those you named above were traded away before you had a real chance to build the team around them with those “hoarded” picks.

Which team are you accusing of prospect hoarding? If is the Flyers I am puzzled to say the least…..Briere/Pronger/Hatcher/Coffee/Primeau/Vorachek/Bryzgalov/Vanbiesbrouk just to name a few off the top of my head. Betterment of this team thru the draft has been anything but the Flyers the last 3 decades……

I can see them starting a win streak if they continue to play Ginning and Attard and Errson. I think it was you that posted in the other thread that Kolosov was en route to the US and I would seriously use him as a b/u for Errson through the rest of the season if they can take care of all of the paperwork to make it happen.

Through the first two periods it took an embarrassing dive to get the Rangers on the board. Errson was totally screened on the shot. Good PP by the rags but they should not have been on the PP.

I really wish they would look at the tape after the game and punish and fine the soccer players. It’s embarrassing to the integrity of the game. That goes for Flyers who do the embellishment also. It ruins the game and if I want to watch soccer dives I will start wearing a skirt and seeking out lonely sailors…….

Enjoying the game through the first period. Igor is on top of his damn game. The guy has the best save percentage in the NHL for a reason. He got really lucky on that one clear where he popped it over the stick and on the bouncing puck Brink could not get to settle. I forgot how fun it is to watch two teams playing competitive hockey.

Ginning and Attard are both showing they belong in the NHL. When Drysdale Risto Seeler come back they need to challenge those guys for ice time. They are earning the right to stay up with the big club.

The Flyers young defensemen seem to be doing a pretty fair job for 3rd pair. Even Johnson has been positionally better but he still always seems to be skating in molasses. Looking forward to Errson back in goal and we should see a very competitive game.

I am developing an Andrew MacDonald level of hate for Sandstrom. Cechmanek’s corpse would be more effective as goal tender……I am 57 years old and crippled and could possibly carry an .829 save percentage.
