Seeing how Hart is no longer in the picture, dumping peterson and Sandstrom is a no brainer. Stolarz and Errson would be a pretty decent tandem going forward.

Marchand tried to dive and get a call early on Johnson on a shoulder to shoulder hit that he whined about saying it was as knee on knee. I hope that Laughton kept saying scoreboard and smiling and pissing the whiny bitch off.

That was an intense high energy game from both teams. Well earned point for the Flyers. I would prefer Deslauriers being the popcorn guy over Coots even though I like Nic and his energy. The Flyers need all the help they can get with goals and that damn sure isn’t Nic’s strong suit….

Toews was a huge reason that Kane had the success that he had. He was the defensive side that Kane generally ignored.

The best thing Fletcher ever did was screw up the Flyers so bad that they had to rebuild. THAT IS HIS LASTING FLYER LEGACY.

As a guy with a nagging back injury I can tell you even when you are feeling “good “ you are never going to reach your pre injury performance. You subconsciously keep yourself from overextending to prevent re injury of your back.

He is already a member of the Ed Snider Foundation board and has been for some time. He loved his time in Philly and is looking forward to returning. -
Sight unseen he can’t be worse than Peterson. That was the premise of giving him a game or 2 to spell Errson going down the stretch and that is still conditional on him getting out of Russia/Belarus.

Kosolov has finished his season in the KHL and is technically under contract with the Flyers. When Jonesy was asked about him he replied that they were working on his visa to get him over here but it would be a few weeks. So I would have to think that Peterson would be gone if that happened. I wouldn’t mind seeing him play at least a game or two with the Flyers instead of Sandstrom just to introduce him to the club if nothing else.

Wayne Simmonds is signing a one day contract to retire as a Flyer. He always was one of my favorites for his ability to score on the ice or with his fists.

So they can’t send him down for rehab? I thought they had at least a small number of games that allowed it. P.S. Not holding my breath for Johansen’s debut in a Flyers uniform.

What a novel idea, using draft picks for actual draft picks. It might not hurt to explore some of the wealth of info out there on players in college and junior hockey and take a look at potential longer shots i.e. 4th or 5th rounders. Oh never mind……that is just too crazy of an idea…..
