    You're very accurate. The big question is why is this franchise so reluctant to do a proper rebuild? Is it because they won't be able to sell as many tickets or any many new jerseys? And who makes the decision on do a proper & true rebuild? Is it determined by people like Briere or by NBC/Comcast? I'd like to know.

    And all of that is fine. I would rather see a Cup championship. It's nearly impossible to do both with the system that's now in place. Nearly every team that has won a championship since the system change has sacrificed to do so.

    And they seem to care more about that then winning a Stanley Cup. With revenue sharing & the salary cap it's nearly impossible to build a real Cup contender without sacrificing enough to have top draft picks. If you're happy with a little hockey excitement. So be it. I want to see a Flyers captain lift the Stanley Cup.

    Does anyone know if the Flyers still finish below the Wild in the standings if the Wild lose their last game? Hope so.

    According to Moneypuck, the Flyers have a 5.9% chance of making the playoffs. Sounds a little low to me.

    This a very true statement. Especially the revenue sharing. Their failure to adapt has led to them becoming a mediocre team.

    That's because the Flyers care more about selling tickets than winning the Cup. Plus, they've never made the adjustment when the league went to Revenue Sharing & the Salary Cup. That along with their persistent "win now" attitude keeps them as mediocre.

    The only positive Fletcher has ever done was getting Tippet & a 1st rounder for Giroux. Otherwise.....................

    Correct! Torts is an ok coach for a team that has been rebuilt. But for a team that's suppose to be rebuilding, he's the wrong coach. He also had way too much to say about who was traded & who wasn't.

    We have to ask the question: Do they want to rebuild just enough to attract fans to buy tickets? Or do they want to rebuild to win a Cup? Looks to me like it was the former, not the latter.

    I hope so too. Having two very late 1st round picks sure isn't going to help though.

    I'm in on both deals. That would be terrific. However, as I said before, I haven't seen Briere move anyone that Torts likes yet. And Laughton could've been moved over the past summer after being offered a 1st rounder. That never happened & it's doubtful it will now. I would love to be wrong.

    Would love to see that happen. But Torts loves him & so it's extremely doubtful.
