    Yes they greased his palms with the contract promise (for all we know showed him they already had it drawn up - can't say) for the way it sounds. Basically let him hurt his one year he owed them for 1 million or what ever with the 3 games he played regardless of how he looked and then just gave him a 2 year deal for 6 million. Which I guess sends a bad signal to every prospect back home that you have to earn your contract. I guess in hopes Michkov approves.

    Disappointed Kolosov isn't getting the start. No reason to even be playing Petersen. Flyers do know there is nothing to be gained by tanking in the AHL right?

    That is a good point of the optic of Michkov...but still there is nothing wrong with negotiations rather than just handing him the money but i guess when Cal Peterson sucking up 3.8 million for 2 more years i guess it isn't a big deal.

    And from reports I seen this morning this contract was pretty much agreed upon to get him to leave Russia his play in the games he got in be damned. And if this is true this is just a bad desperate way to run a business. But I am sure he was encouraged by the ones above him if they didn't even maybe suggest it. #mind blowing

    Absolutely especially when they still going to let teams circumvent it like they have been all i ask is the NHL keeps that same energy so one day soon maybe Flyer can take advantage of these same loopholes

    the funny thing too is Fedotov's contract will be up the year before Michkov even comes over if he even last that long.

    My opinion his size has nothing to do with him keep getting beat blocker side on most his goals. I am hoping it can be coached out of him. However with the smaller ice he must learn shots get up on you quicker and that they will come from any damn where on this smaller ice.

    I agree the price tag could certainly change my mind. But they will never draft low enough and will have to take some risk. Not sure if he is worth it but we have to trust management that makes the call. We have so far will have to going forward.

    Yes it was already done just spending 2 million more on goaltending in a rebuild when the 2 mill could have been used to take on a bad contract for assets well I'm not happy with. But we aren't the GM. Some here just can't handle others opinions on it. I really really hope it all works out they win a Cup. I will personally let @radoran cut my slice of crow as long as he has some good bourbon to wash it down with. Sorry if being a fan since 1991 has jaded me. It is what it is.

    Noone complains when McDavid did it last night I won't complain when he does it then if he is helping the team win. If there losing well just status quo. Torts and coaches made Risto look serviceable so maybe he can do the same with Trevor if he ever is a Flyer. Besides what could go wrong with Danny's extensive Cup team wining experience?
