  3. Lets not forget that some players aren't "media-sexy" either. For instance, over here in Finland, you often see writings about Laine, but you pretty much never see anything about Mikko Rantanen (best finnish player in the league last year with 84 points) and very, very rarely about Alexander Barkov (probably the best center from Finland currently). Biased media is biased.

  13. Curious to see if the Wild has pulled their heads out of their butts and start shooting the puck more. And start bringing the puck in instead of dumping it in. Most of our good chances have come because someone actually moved with puck over the blueline.

  16. Dude, chill a bit. No need for the personal attacks. The mods aren't too fond of such things. In fact, they've stepped in once already when things got a bit heated. Attack the arguments, and if they don't believe what you have to say, just let it go. Cliche, I know, but it's better for the blood pressure.

  18. Heh, don't get me wrong. I'm not expecting the Habs to reach the playoffs, nor the Sabres. It's just funny because as hard as I'm trying, I just can't remember the last time Sabres won a game during the first week. Maybe I'm getting old. And some of the Wild players to get their minds sorted. And others need to hand over the reigns if and when they do.
  19. Oi! Habs has been doing decently so far! Minus Jonathan Drouin, no idea what's going on with him. But have to admit, Sabres has surprised me so far. Just watched the Vegas - Sabres game, and man Vegas couldn't keep up. Just wish Wild could wake up too. Can't rely on Dubnyk standing on his head all the time.
  20. Somebody stole a bottle from Vegas Golden Knights? I mean, we all know what happened to them last year.
  21. Yes, the GDT's were extra entertaining when you started to chew on the refs and their mindboggling calls.
  22. MONDAY, OCT 8, 2018 AWAY HOME TIME San Jose 3 N.Y. Islanders 4 1:00 pm Ottawa 2 Boston 5 1:00 pm Vegas 6 Buffalo 3 3:00 pm Detroit 1 Anaheim 4 10:00 pm
  23. Eh, I'd let it go, a fine is okay if you really have to punish him. You can see Buff noticing Carrick going after Sheiffele, so he decides to cover his teammate. Was it a bit ugly? Sure, Buff is a big guy after all. But I'm willing to bet that he wouldn't have done anything if Carrick hadn't decided to go and try to rough up Sheiffele. But if you give him a suspension, what message do you send to the players? "Defend your teammate and you get a suspension"? Star players get enough crap on the ice as it is, take away their last line of "defense" and you'll see the likes of Sheiffele, McDavid and Crosby etc with longtime injuries. Rough plays have existed in sports for an eternity, and will continue to do so, because we're only humans. Emotions and all that.
