  1. From what little I managed to see, Hunt looked good. Especially around 10:30 in the 3rd where he calmly kept the puck in the o-zone and was open and ready to shoot the puck anytime.
  2. From what I've gathered, he's a lot like Nate Prosser: reliable 7th dman that doesn't raise a fuzz about being scratched and works hard when he plays. Sounds good to me.
  3. Put any proper goalscorer beside Aho and you'll get results. During WCJ a few years back, everyone were hyping Laine and Puljujarvi, pretty much ignoring the fact that without Aho, they wouldn't had played that well.
  4. Interesting read, especially the part of Cup-winning goalies average about 46 games starts during regular season. [Hidden Content]
  5. Reminds me of our trip with the mrs to Italy this new year, man I chugged a lot of wine over there. Just a tip, if anyone plans to go there, try to visit the places outside the major cities. The countryside is a great experience.
  6. Dear lord, did they get Moses Hightower from Police Academy? (The actor is that tall)
  7. Also I think Fenton wants to season our goalie prospect in the minors anyway, considering that's what they did with Rinne and later on Saros in Nashville. And for the future, it's better for him to play as much as possible rather than having him as a benchwarmer in the big club. Now, in the event that Dubs or Stalock gets injured for a few of games, then it might be a good idea to bring him up to test him in one or two games. But if it's long-term injury either one suffers, then I'd say they should bring up Hammond as backup. The more a goalie plays at that age KK is, the better he becomes.
  8. Good luck! You're gonna need it... Oh, and if you haven't already, shave your heads. It'll be better than having patches after ripping your hair off because of Chuckies shenanigans,
  9. If you guys end up with Fletcher, sacrifice a goat and pray to the hockey gods that he won't sign a single long, expensive, silly, NMC-just-because-the-player-wants-it contract. Especially to an old has-been. A quote from Russo, who covers the Wild:
  10. Temper the expectations, he's a good goalie but still young. Goalies takes the longest to fully blossom because they need the mind trained properly. We recently had a headcase, don't want another one. Besides, he needs to beat the 3 other goalies consistently first. Maybe in a year or two.

  14. Here's to hoping that the Wild come home with 50%+ of the max available points from this roadtrip. Last night was kinda 'meh' so hopefully they'll be more ready this time. And for the love of cheese, start by scoring the first goal!

  18. Lets not forget that some players aren't "media-sexy" either. For instance, over here in Finland, you often see writings about Laine, but you pretty much never see anything about Mikko Rantanen (best finnish player in the league last year with 84 points) and very, very rarely about Alexander Barkov (probably the best center from Finland currently). Biased media is biased.
