  1. The only reason for these nt, nm clauses should be for taking a serious team friendly deal. I could see a 1 year clause, like Zucc wanting one this year for the birth of a kid, but other than that no.
  2. That's a new scoring trend. Bounce it off the goalies head. How long until goalies are concussed?
  3. Just gives more room for the D to support or recover.
  4. It's time for Kaprizov to take the puck deeper into the zone before he curls and tries that rink wide pass.
  5. These dopes will probably win them both and then brag about having perseverance.
  6. So they're playing Goose so he can get a goal this year?
  7. Does Goligoski have some kind of bonus clause that gets him paid for x # games?
  8. I'm fine with putting guys on waivers if that's what it takes to get rid of these over pass happy passengers as well.
  9. I'm hoping Hynes does a complete overhaul on every facet of the teams strategy. When will they stop passing up shots from between the face-off circles to pass to an open man by the dots.
  10. After thinking about your question of how to put it to the team I came up with this strategy for the GM. GM to team. Hey guys here's the deal you guys get us into a playoff position by the All Star break. If we're really looking like we're not going to make it, due to injuries or just plain poor play, we're going to experiment with ice time, line combinations, PP strategy, PK strategy. We may lose games that ordinarily we might win, but we're going to take advantage of a bad year for better draft position, without a full blown team tear down. We might only get 1 year of a better draft, but we feel this is worth it in the long run. If you don't like this strategy, make sure you put us in a playoff position.
  11. I'm a fan too, but I don't want to watch them sneak into the playoffs and lose, I want them to go into the playoffs like true contenders. I want them to be a dynasty team similar to Pittsburgh, Tampa, Chicago and now Vegas. (But without the cap cheating) And all but Vegas became dynasties by being bad for a while.
  12. I kind of wonder if CL doesn’t just want the money. Not sure how the Parise/Suter buyouts work as far as what they actually pay out. But I'm pretty sure CL doesn't mind NOT paying the $14 million that the buyout cap hit prevents.
  13. The most frustrating part of this is it was clear as a bright sunny day at the all-star break that the Wild would have to play so far over their heads to make the playoffs. They wouldn't have had to tear the team down to the bone to get into a top 5 to 8 pick. The difference between where the Wild are now to the #5 pick is 7 wins! Lose 7 more games between the all star break and now and they get a top 5 pick.
  14. Unfortunately for us I don’t think the Wild could possibly play bad enough to lose to the Sharks. Picking out of the top 10 again.
  15. I know you are entitled to your opinion and I do appreciate your positive attitude, but you really need to take a better look at where the top talent in this league comes from. Most of the top players in this league were top 10 picks. It takes talent to win.
  16. It's too bad the rest of the league doesn't just lay down for St.Louis and just battle to the end against Vegas. I would love nothing better than to see Vegas miss the playoffs this year. I looked at cap friendly for Vegas next year. They have under 2 million left with 10 forwards 7 defenseman and 3 goalies under contract for next year. That leaves moving a goalie so they can sign 2 forwards.
  17. 40,000. Until Spurgeon comes off LTIR, then someone needs to go.
