  1. Here's an idea - DON'T WATCH, just go away and find another team to whine and bidtch about.
  2. All time worst, most boring half time show ever! Nasville fans into a coma! Thanks Urban for such a boing dead azz garbage song! That'll kill any crowd enthusiasm!
  3. Not too bad so far, but I hope this isn't another year where when the first reaction to a Wild PP isn't, "DECLINE THE PENALTY!!!"
  4. But I think Derrian Hatcher beat somebody up! IMO that late 90's hockey was by far the most fun to watch! I saw Joel Otto, the Bemidji Beaver skate by. I think about the Edm-Cal wars back in the day. Otto vs Messier! There's nothing like that nowadays.
  5. I went and watched the replays on YouTube. The fight didn't quite go like I remembered! Or Tkachuk vs Dirty Claude.
  6. I don't know if he'll be a decent GM but Bill Guerin was one of my favorite players back in the day. Had an all time great play in an All Time great game. Probably my second favorite game of all time - US vs Canada in 1996 World Championships. The US had a really, really great team. Guerin dropped the gloves and went after Keith Primeau. Beat the hell out of him in my memory. Then Keith Tkachuk beat the hell out of Claude Lemieux. I"ve often thought about looking for a tape of that game! And when Lemaire's NJD team won the Cup Guerin was a key guy. I hope he becomes as good a GM as he was a player. Old school Power Forward. Was also a big time leader for the player's Union back in the day.
  7. I've researched exWild players many times. Crazy that so much time has passed since we were trying to guess who would be the first Wild Captain. Here's an exWild player who I thought turned out to be an above average defenseman - Andy Sutton. Huge and super raw. Lemaire played him at forward and D but Risebrough traded him too early. Was pretty good for Nashville. I don't remember if you mentioned them but Joel Ward and the defenseman Michalek went on to have good careers after a cup of coffee with the Wild. I'd say Nick Leddy would also be on the list of players mistakenly traded. IMO good chance Tuch will turn out to be the biggest Eff Up, along with losing Gaborik as an UFA.
  8. No one who knows anything about the NHL would consider Seto a "Star " in any sense of the word or in any context relating to him and the NHL.
  9. Setoguchi was fighting a raging alcohol problem. That sad story came out a long time ago. You all apparently have a very different idea of what constitutes a "Star" or "Star Talent."
  10. Maybe. Rask was playing hurt last year. Obviously he's no PMB Peggy Fleming but a couple years ago he was a decent player. Three years ago, I think, I watched a Carolina game and he was one of their better players. He could easily turn into a solid 3rd Line Center IMO. And I like the Hartman signing. Chicago hoped for a lot more from him, like being a 2nd Liner. But he's not that good. As a 4th Liner he's going to be a stud. Very similar to the not-Nick Foligno. Big, tough, physical with decent skills.
  11. Garth Snow. Chiarellipet. These guys have been jokes in the NHL for over the top incompetence. And now they are in the running for Wild GM? STOP THE INSANITY!!!!
  12. I read this and thought it was nuts! Look at his history. He's dinky and getting old. A GM would have to be crazy to sign him for 5 years per at $6 mil. Any GM who'd offer that ridiculous deal should definitely be fired! Kidding aside - IMO a horrendous signing!
  13. What I saw last year was an occasional nifty, wow play, that rarely led to anything, along with a steady diet of giveaways. Not sure how good he is defensively, because I never saw him defending... New GM is nuts if he gives him more than 2 years at $3 mil per. IMO Best Case Fiala isn't going to equal MiG.
  14. IMO he absolutely deserved to get fired. The trades and Zuccarello signing were atrocious. The nepotism was disturbing with his kid, too, although I have absolutely no problem with the Wild's Draft this year (and the pro talkers agree with that take). Sounds like he was a total arrogant prick to everyone. Good riddance.
  15. Right, like I posted, not unreasonable to draw that conclusion based on the fact he re-signed with the Islanders. My point is, did Fenton or anyone in the organization show him some love? Actually tried to convince him to come home? My guess is they didn't.
  16. Source? Other than the general open source media rumors, that said it was Nelson who said No. You could assume that because he didn't even wait to become an UFA, but I haven't seen anything that says credibly what Fenton and the Wild organization really said to him. Did we really know they even met at all?
  17. To answer the thread title/Question - Yes, I am sure Fenton is a train wreck after the Zuccarrello UFA signing. To even consider Kessell for Zucker blows my mind. Now he signs a very small, soft, no defense aging Euro to a big, long term contract. Just what the club needs! We could have had Brock Nelson for what Fenton is paying this guy!
  18. I'll keep checking back every few weeks hoping for intelligent conversation, opinions, and obserbations but since the home grown Hater Trolls killed the official Wild boards... I have very little confidence it'll be worthwhile here, either. Have fun Hating...
  19. Didn't matter who the Wild drafted, you'd find a reason to be negative. No matter if the reason was just more irrational hate, you'd be all in, no matter what the professionals who have no link to the Wild would say. Call me a Homer all you want, I've got literally 20 years of posting history to prove that's BS, but I have to say I feel sorry for you Haters. Claiming to be fans but posting chit that proves you're worse than Nuck trolls.
  20. D Marshall Warren. And a project under-sized offensive defensemen on his way to college [Hidden Content]
  21. And the Wild draft another Russina kid that jumped to the CHL. In this case OHL powerhouse London. Sounds like a grinder, at best Another Russian for a Kaprisov posse. [Hidden Content]
  22. Adam Beckman. I like this Pick. He might turn out pretty good. One of those kids who isn't even on the radar, then grows a bunch and gets into the WHL and excels as a rookie. [Hidden Content] Everyone from here on out is a longshot. I think the Wild did pretty good but we'll see, of course. The Draft is a crap shoot... [Hidden Content]
  23. Don't know what to think about Firstov. Got what I wanted I think - a boom or bust forward, sounds like a goal scorer. Might as well stock pile Russkies since the future is apparently riding on Kaprisov. Reading a little - I'm happy about this kid. Never been a big fan of Russians but I really like that the kid came over and played in the USHL.
