  2. Article on CSNPhilly.com about Jagr wanting to help G win the scoring title. Nothing special, but there is a quote from Giroux that is pretty interesting regarding the locker room culture and the difference from last year. http://www.csnphilly.com/blog/flyers-talk/post/Jagrs-goal-to-help-Giroux-win-NHL-scorin?blockID=641844&feedID=704 “He’s been playing well for us this year. He’s one of the reasons why we’re on top. He shows up every game. He wants to play. He wants to win. He’s changed the attitude in this locker room. When you see a guy like that work like that, it’s great to see.”
  3. @Hexy27 - I find that this is usually the true measuring stick for a player improving or playing better than before. When my wife notices something like Hartnell playing better, it's usually a drastic improvement.
  4. Yea I unfortunately only saw highlights of that and not the complete series of games....but it was still unbelievably impressive. I even thought his post-game comments showed his confidence and comfort level. Something along the lines of, "Yea I gave a big hit, got in a fight, got split open...no big deal, go **** yourself."
  5. @flyercanuck - Yea I agree. I think the majority of us are conditioned to have a "jump the gun, what have you done for me lately, why aren't you Top 10 in scoring?" mentality. But just watching Schenn play at a high level in Juniors, you knew it was only a matter of time until he gained some confidence out there.
  6. @Spinorama - Take a look at some of Schenn's Youtube highlights from Juniors. Lots of big hits, big fights, and big goals. Like someone else said, he became a Flyer today and let's hope he can string a few of those together.
  7. @Digityman Yea he looked very disinterested on one particular shift in the 3rd. It sucks that he's sick, but makes me feel better that it's not an injury or unhappiness with his linemates, etc.
  8. @Digityman - I thought I heard John Boruk or Lappy in between periods or after the game, mentioning something about him being sick. They were reviewing the Standout Stars of the game and Boruk had Briere. Lappy said he didn't pick him because he had been sick.
  9. I thought I heard that he was sick and that's why he didn't practice earlier in the week. He looked exhausted out there and that probably explains the 9 minutes of TOI.
  10. There's that Philadelphia fever that everyone used to catch in the 70's!
  11. @Irishjim - I'm sure it's because he's getting paid $11M this year due to the way his contract is structured. He went from making around $700K-$800K to $11M! He's probably spending all of his time shopping online for men's jewelry or something weird like that.
  12. Anyone have a link for the game tonight?
  13. @idahophilly - haha, that's great. At least you have some advice for next time!
  14. I hear there's a really bad cold/flu/virus/sickness going around right now. You probably have that starting this evening and clearing up around 12 noon on Sunday.
  15. @Mad Dog yea but he went through the trouble to make a LinkedIn profile and go that route...pretty pathetic.
  16. Found a list of players who are apparently confirmed to play in the Alumni Game on New Year's Eve. Rangers haven't announced there list yet. http://anthonysintheroom.blogspot.com/
  17. That's good news! He's such an a-hole of a player anyways.
