I had a total rupture in December and the surgery was not adequate. Being a bit older & having had injections for the tendonitis that preceeded it, obviously we dont heal like 26-30 year old athletes with tears in parts of the achilles that are less susceptible to re rupture I just had a total reconstruction by the same doc who did Mezaros a few days before me No way 11 weeks. I think I will plant a seed in the docs mind during my followups to hold him back, maybe I will slip him a few $$$, LOL He is going to be compensating for his back surgery recovery on top of this. Man he really needs to take his time.........

What I pay in taxes to help support people who are not paying their share of real estate taxes and other means of revenue required of working citizens is bad and going to get worse. Without making this a political discussion, I am weary of this manure. Too many people with expensive tastes, McDonalds burger flipper mental capacity at best and more interested in sneakers, hos and bling, guns and destroying their hearing blasting ghetto anger driving in Toyotas with big wheels that spin with junkyard fenders in primer. Hockey is an expensive sport to play and it was an elitist sport to an extent as well as a geographically defined sport before indoor rinks became more popular, It silll is , by heritage of activity passed down from generation to generation Not one dollar of revenue from teams that are profitable should go to mismanaged and hopeless franchises. League wide revenue sharing is fine, but no sharing of teams personal wealth from local tv/cable, concessions,parking, boxes, tickets etc. Filling arenas with cheap tickets to get the 80% level for revene sharing is criminal. I hate the players for putting forth that proposal, I hate the owners and Bettman too for their positions, especially all the have nots who are Bettmans power base I have said this before. I hope there is a lockout that breaks this league apart and it comes back contracted, where the strong survive and there is no coprporate welfare. Without Bettman, Phoenix and a host of lingering bedsore franchises in hospice care. Hockey will not succeed everywhere and they should stop trying to force it everywhere.

Pods I agree with you and 2nd that suggestion remember the cliche-One mans trash is another mans riches. Think:Patrick Sharp JVR was an awkward & inconsistent fit I dont know what to make of Bob. But again he was signed as a free agent, right> So we did not lose anything except his "potential" But really with a recently frequently injured & inconsistent player like JVR , 2nd overall pick or not its a gamble on both sides and a good hockey trade. If Luke Schenn becomes as good as Coburn, but with a mean streak its a huge win. Think about how many first round picks have decent careers and play more than 3-4 years as regulars, without even geting into stardom. Then look at how many 1st rounders are busts and end up in the AHL for life? The only other thing that could happen is some kind of pick laden deal for Bobby Ryan, but if you have the cap space for Doan, he would look great in this uniform and probably do better with the reduced travel schedule Did he get along with Bryz????????????????????????????????????????

The league has been determining the outcome through the officiating and acts of omission in enforcement of conduct over those years. I think Snider cries crocodile tears as along as the arena is full and the drone fans are blindly spending $$ and now with Xfinity live yet another money grabbing venue in the complex of sports palaces. I love the game, hate the league and frankly Phoenix is still owned by the league right? That means Bettmans minions are pulling the strings for that. I think the emotional balloon burst with the hate filled series vs the Pens and that there are some injuries affecting players. All that aside, why is it the other teams players are always heavier, more physical and skating through the puck instead of to it ( knocking our players off the puck or skates)

This is going to be a bit long, but please read on Like many Flyers and sports fans, I know when series are fixed by the league for marketing purposes. Even Championships. 1980 Flyers- Isles for the more mature fans ( 2 offsides and 1 high stick goal) 1987 Flyers-Oilers when an Oilers team with cocaine users was allowed to play in spite of Sports Illustrated calling them out (later proved with Grant Fuhrs wife testifying in divorce court and his suspension after he was not on Gretzky's team anymore) 2009-Penguins Wings when the NHL chose to over ride the suspensions to Malkin and allow football tackling of the Wings in game 7 I must admit during the Flyers terrible 06-07 season, due to a personal relationship working on hockey book project with a new Pens hockey staff member I went to the Igloo, and had backstage passes and was enjoying a rebirth of the franchise. But the leagues unhealthy obsession with Crosby and the Pens, and the resultant abuse of other franchises to that end, stopped my embracing the rebirth of that franchise and the friendship 2009 finals ended it When we all saw Bettman physically being excited for the Pens in the press box during the last game of the 08 finals, we knew it was a fait accomplit for them to win the next year. They had too much invested and what seemed to be obsessive on the part of the executives The Pens were in the Flyers way in 08 with an undermanned defence and in 09 when the team with different leadership on & off ice was not capable. This series finally shakes off the yoke of the leagues poster child and executive group who shamelessly placed him and his team-mates above all levels of fair and equitable treatment of other teams. Lets get real Bryz is injured, those games at the end of the season were obvious he had trouble moving It was when he was on a roll AS someone else mentioned the whole thing changed when we started clearing the crease with Grossman and Kubina good/bad was at least a big experienced body though not as mobile . WE could roll enough veteran NHL d that the minutes were properly divvied up and Bryz played great too. But now he is partially crippled up, this is not mental SO if they guy is injured an and has poor lateral mobility as a result plus we have our d getting concussions ( 2 in 4 games) its going to take better team D and better CHOICES/DECISIONS every play and obviously someone else in net to get it done. I have no idea what the injury is in depth or the prognosis, but frankly I would put someone else in net from our remaining 2 and might just go with Leaky. If he can NOT over committ and go sliding out side the crease he is effective. Playing a conservative style he fills a lot of net and can make the shooters shoot into his chest and pads a lot.

Every team down like the Pens were comes up with a big face saving game. Of course the shooter tutor in goal would have won it for us compared to Solaris Bryzgalov I hate the fact they had 2 days to regroup between games And of course series must not end in 4 since the TV thang is big Flyers will be better on the road too, away from the stuff at home and the pressure to close it out in front of the home fans Chill, we are still up 3-1 and I expected this
