  1. Well Rad, even if I did mean Bundy you couldn't judge me, even on the internets. I would complain to management and they would silence you. Also, I would like to be referred to as zie as my pronoun moving forward.
  2. Pretty sure I care not how you spell her name... but only care to stare into her eyes and dream.
  3. I'm in that boat now. I'm excited during the day that the Flyers are on out of habit. When I actually turn the game on, I usually switch to YouTube and forget about the game. I'm only pissed because I didn't get to see what Therian was wearing.
  4. Ratcliffe starting to blossom? Coming off those injures in the past, saw some time in the NHL and now he looks hungry. I've liked this kid from the beginning and knew it was going to be one of those you have to wait 4-5 even 6 years for but he looks like he's starting to realize his potential.
  5. Frost and York stay down the Phantoms. OooooVeyyyy York was our best defender for the last 5 games. Frost isn't going to learn anything new down there. He'll get minutes but he could have got minutes with the Flyers if they stopped pretending that winning matters any more this season.
  6. This is well put. I liked Danny on the ice when he played, I liked him in Portland here and I think Danny will be a great GM with an eye for talent. Someone hired Danny to replace Chuck, that's all this is. Danny did his time learning the ropes with in Comcast. He knows the Flyers and their management. His next logical step was some where in the GM realm. Having him learn the ropes as assistant GM was a great way to not let all of that training/investment/time go to waste at another org (habs).
  7. @mojo1917 I'm not trying to be a d!ck. Been a long couple days for me, sorry if it came off like that. I agree businesses do share some information and what not, but all these teams are going for the cup and to me, I don't see much 'helping' of other teams. Maybe once in a while, a team will take a JVR type contract to reach the cap floor but that's helping themselves too. I do agree that maybe that once was more of a thing but for some reason I feel like things have changed (in a lot of areas, not just hockey) and not for the better. Maybe I'm showing my age now..
  8. @mojo1917 Isn't that a form of socialism? lol I can't imagine any other GM or owner "helping the Flyers out" in any way shape or form. Now, could I see them low-balling them for pieces, absolutely. Chuck (and us fans) are in for a world hurt before this gets better. Best just find something better to do for 2-3 years until they finally figure out that they need to to clean house starting with Scott all the way down to the stick boys.
  9. The only reason I even remotely watch is to see the young kids but even then I get bored and just youtube my way through the game. When JJ's voice gets high pitched I divert my eyes to the TV for 20 seconds. I really hope I don't die before they figure this mess out. I figure I have 20 years....
  10. On a lighter note, I heard Ratcliff is getting his first NHL game on Saturday. So that's fun.
  11. My kids are starting to question my sanity. They don't understand why I'm cheering for them to lose.
  12. Interesting. Wasn't worth keeping according to the organization. I wonder, just maybe, it's our coaching and management that is the problem. That might be the first time that management has been thought as to being the problem.
  13. She can come to my house anytime. Al would have to wait for an invite.
  14. Ha. That's true but they aren't going to get high enough to get a player that will make a difference in the next 2-3 years. Prospects are a nice distraction though.
  15. Steve Coates was all but calling out Yandle last night. He stopped himself short of saying he out-right sucked and has. As much as I want to blame the players - and they aren't faultless - but it's on Yeo and Chuck as pointed out countless times. Do you think it's possible that when Chuck signed Yandle there was a "gentlemen's handshake" that he must remain in the lineup until he breaks the record regardless of his play? That seems like the only reason that he is still on the ice. I mean, he's worse than AMac ever was.
  16. Well Happy Birthday. Who knows, maybe having Giroux, TK, Sanheim, Prov back will spark them to play well. Wear a N95, bring a gallon of sanitizers and make sure your vaccines are up to date. Also, don't touch anything.
  17. I heard it was cancelled because Yandle tested positive and they don't want him to break the streak. They've also cancelled Thursday's gave vs Boston and Saturday's game vs the Rangers so that Keith will have a chance to break the coveted record by not missing a game. To hell with the team, it's all about Keith this year. GO Flyers! Keith!
  18. You're right, it doesn't sound like a great deal for him hockey wise but.... his very young family is here. I'm not saying he will do it, I'm just saying that's the current conversation/theory that's going around. Think of it this way, if he wants to retire a 'Flyer' then what better way to increase the teams chances of winning then to go somewhere else for 3 months (increase his chance of a cup) and for the Flyers to get picks/players that might it make it possible before he retires? It's not that far fetched.
  19. I think the current idea is to have conversations with Giroux about a trade, he then resigns with the team in the summer as a free agent. Whether or not that's real, I don't know.
  20. I'm the same so far...... 2 hours x 3 days a week x 8 months a year x 35 years = 5,740 hours or 239 days worth of watching a non-championship team (in my lifetime) if my math is right.
  21. Not sure what game it was as they were all a blur, but Hayes scored. Than for the next goal against it was a 2 on 1. Guess who was attempting to skate super-duper fast and catch his man on the backcheck? Yes, Hayes. That contract is going to hurt for too long.
  22. This will be brief but feel free to add to it. Flyers: 11-12-5 - 27 Points - 6th in the division, 11th in the conference, 24th in the league. 10 game losing streak Fires coach (and assistant) Medical staff still sucks at assessing injuries (and rehabbing them) Hart the brightest start, single-handedly getting them points with a .918, 2.74gaa (26th SV%) The power play (16.3%) is 26th in the league (-18 goal differential overall) Penalty kill is 12th in the league (81.3%) The only thing this team does well is FOW% - 54% - 5th in the league. It's mid-December and they have a 7.1% chance of making the playoffs. Since Fletch was hired (12/2008) the Flyers are a few games above .500. Phantoms: 5-11-4 15pts 8th in the division (last), 15th in the conference (last), 31st in the league (last by 5pts) New coach Are 2-8 last 10 games, currently on a 8 game losing streak (like their big brothers) Sandstrom is 36th with a 3.08gaa, 33rd with a .896 sv%. Players with the most points (in order): (Frost) Gerry Mayhew, Garrett Wilson, Max Willman, Adam Clendening, Egor Zamula....I could go on. Hockey Writers still has the Flyers farm ranked as 5th in the league. Thankfully a lot of the Metro is on the other end of the rankings. I've never cheered for Ottawa before but tomorrow I'll be wearing my red, gold and black.
