Hey, Thought we needed our own season post.

I like how Hartley started the 4th line again today.

I watched Downie during warmups. I don't think he is happy here. I think his lack of happiness is reflected in his play. I also think he may still have some lingering injury too but I truly do not think he fits with the rest of the team personality wise.

It has been that way for a while where they were orange gold and black featuring more black and gold. The orange taking center stage was just for their Stadium Series jerseys. Those jersey stressed that they are located in Orange County. I really wish that they would go back to the colors used for Mighty Ducks but the updated logo. The throwback jerseys they used earlier this season were awesome.

I am definitely in the blow up the D crowd and I am also in the its ok if we suck for 3 years if it means we grow our own players. I am truly tired of other team sloppy 2nd's I understand taking a chance on a low price guy to get whatever is left out of hi but when almost your entire D is made up of those guys it is just not going to work. I took my Dad to the game on Tuesday watching away from the camera view is highly enlightening.

I got one good shot of Crosby choking Hartnell. Enjoy I don't need to recap today for anyone. There are a couple of videos in this set to let you hear how loud it was in there today.

Blocker for me its the camera. I use two a Canon S5 IS and and Canon Sx30 IS. The 30 right now I delete probably 60% the s5 I delete 20%. I use the sports setting for the S5 and I use the Aperture Priority setting on the 30. I try to be as steady as I can and pick my spots for the pictures. If you look almost all are in the same area of the ice. I do not try to get pictures every where. I know where the shots seem to be the cleanest and just shoot for those. For both cameras shooting over the glass also seems to be preferred. It seems to yield some good results.

I will say that this game was far from the best hockey I had seen. Nothing really happened until the 3rd period. Then we had it all fights and the lone goal. This was an interesting venue. It was truly a scenic drive to get there. http://www.flickr.com/photos/neat1325/sets/72157629192525638/

http://www.flickr.com/photos/neat1325/sets/72157629557130227/ I took pictures. Carter was not warmly welcomed back. Columbus was a great venue. Our hotel was a couple blocks from the arena. There were a ton of bars and restaurants with in walking distance of our hotel and the arena. There was so many Tim Horton's and Cracker Barrel's I felt like it was the south met Canada. The Columbus fans were great to us even with us wearing Kings items/colors. The arena lower bowl was the way to go. Our seats were directly behind the player wives which was to say the least an experience. I would recommend this trip to any fan. I took this game to be like a Flyers afternoon tilt. They didn't show up until after the other team scored.

What if Flyers are ratcheting interest in Brown to take heat off kicking tires on Nash or someone else? I do not see the Flyers having true interest in Brown. I do not doubt they could be looking league wide at a senior leader type to take Prongers place in the locker room.

The Phantoms did well under Chief. I can't tell you the number of Phantoms players that were devasted when Chief left and they got Paddock for a head coach. I think Chief may be an ok coach.

Yes that is true and they would have to clear waivers to join the team as well so anyone could claim them then also. I am not looking at making the whole Phantoms roster be this way just maybe 5 or 6 contracts that you already know you do not plan to call up like Dan Jancevski

Goaltenders: a Breed apart

It is an even year so blame the goalie coach? IDK I have seen this logic of the goalie issues quite a bit lately. I do think there can be something too having the right coach work with you. Just like at work having the right boss can make all the difference as well. I do think that Reese has not been here as long as Lemelin and knowing the improvements we saw from Leighton and Boucher he worked well at improving them. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I don't know if you all saw the Crossing Broad post about Bryz at the Carnival. So anyway when there is something Flyers related Crossing Broad keeps posting on twitter I Care. I forsee signs at warmups saying I am a Flyers fan and I care. Oh boy.....
