Generally teams won't put single game tickets on sale until August or so. For example the Flyers are still trying to sign up people for season tickets or partial season packages. Once they get that out of the way, the leftovers will go on sale as singles. You may want to wait a bit and see when Rangers single games tickets go on sale Edit: Yes StubHub at this point is either season ticket holders or legalized ticket brokers that use StubHub as a venue for sales

I've often wondered how quickly Lavi regretted that best player in the world comment. Without evaluating the likelihood of such a trade (since I don't think that's what you were inferring), I'll say it really is almost impossible to get full value when trading a superstar level player in the NHL. Mostly because its so tough to define and value their contribution to the team; Giroux's value to the Flyers is likely greater than the value that a potential trading partner would place on him. I don't think there's a Flyer fan anywhere who wouldnt want Weber on the squad. But is he worth losing Giroux? IMO the forward lines fall apart without that #1 linchpin at Center. Short of something implausible like getting Crosby, or getting back a "Herschel Walker" truckload of #1 picks, I just don't think there's any way you can trade Giroux and feel like they were a better team after the trade.

I'll bite, what would you take back for G as being full value?

Howie; I agree the thought of Emery getting a heavy workload with Stolarz backing him up would assuredly mean a sub-.500 season. But I guess I see that scenario playing out only if Mason gets hurt. I don't think he's necessarily the savior, but what I've seen of him gives me confidence that he's got the makings of a better than average goaltender. As you say, we should know soon enough

I think the roster was set before free agency started. Nobody wants VLC unless we eat half his salary, which really defeats the whole purpose of dumping his sorry ass. I think the only suspense is going to be whether one of kids can make enough of an impression to get some ice time with the big team...Laughton would be probably be the best bet but....we already have too many centers We ain't doing nothing for the first time in forever, and I'm good with that for now.
