I'm down with something different as well but I can't picture anything other than the flyers crest on it. I'd even be happy of it was the winter classic jersey. That was a beautiful sweater in my opinion.

I know it's not really important in the grand scheme of things but it's been kind of a slow offseason and this gives us a little something to look forward to. What would you like to see the flyers third look like? I personally miss the old jerseys from the Lindros era.

I just read that mike fisher is out 4-6 months. That makes jokinen their first line center, yikes. I'm thinking a deal with Nashville will get done sooner rather than later...

I'm fine with that as well, but eventually he's gonna need a spot on the big club and if Schenn and Couturier continue to develop the way flyers fans hope and dream about than the only way he makes the team is if he switches positions. That could work as well, I don't know enough about Laughtons game to predict wether or not he can switch from center to wing, but from everything I've heard/read, he's better off sticking at center. I'm more or less just thinking out loud here, I'm curious as to what kind of deal we could make using Laughton as the main trade chip.

Because he doesn't have a spot on the team for the foreseeable future unless you want to give him 10 minutes a game on the 4th line and stunt his development. I'm not saying they should but if they could use him in some sort of package to get a legit winger to play with giroux and voracek than I'd be all for it. As I said before, I'm not sure he has much value at this point so I don't know what kind of deal would be possible. The flyers currently have a logjam at center and as long as giroux, vinny, schenn and couturier are here there is no room for Laughton. I suppose he could switch positions but I believe he's a natural fit at center if I'm not mistaken.

What about trading Laughton? Even if they trade Vinny he will be blocked by Schenn and Couturier and there's no point in bringing him up to play 4th line minutes...not sure what his value is though.

I'm just curious as to what you guys are expecting out of Couturier next season. Are we looking at a huge increase in production, say 25 goals 35 assists? Or are we looking at steady increases in production for the next 4 or 5 years until he has it figured out? I guess there are no wrong answers as no one really knows how much his game will increase, just would like to know what fellow flyers fans think are realistic numbers from this kid... I'm expecting 15-20 goals and 25-35 assists.

He knew it was either Philly or Nashville, if he wasnt happy in Nashville he wouldn't have signed the offer sheet in the first place. I'm sure he is happy with the outcome...

It doesn't matter...time to move on. we are only punishing ourselves thinking of what if... I still like our team.

Weber was the main prize, it didn't work...I personally think they should sit tight and head into camp with this current roster. At least wait until the deadline to see what we have and where we need to add help...

I think kimo should wear the C. Could be his last year. I'd give Giroux and talbot the A's. Not roo, the worst nickname I've ever heard, Giroux.

That's what I am afraid of. 4 years $30 mil is insane for a 35 year old 30 goal scorer. I would much rather wait until next year to spend the big bucks. Weber, Perry, Getzlaf...

Like the fedotenko deal. Cheap and only 1 year. I'm hoping that if there is a trade, its for DEFENSE! Yandle would look real nice in O + B. But not for B. Schenn or Couturier, of course...

i know everyone and there mother wants the flyers to go get Weber, but right now its just not a realistic move. I would like to see them make a minor move for a solid 3rd-4th defenseman...
