I was in during peace time, 84 thru 88 and got out, the wife hated it, if I had known that two years later I was gonna trade her in for a new model I might have stayed in, lol.

  I have a daughter who is in the Army, she did one tour in Iraq and two in Afghanistan, she is a platoon sgt (E7) with less than five years to go until retiring. Don't let anyone kid you, a lot of the women over there pulled their own weight and then some, she learned Suni and when they would capture or need to interrogate women within a city because the women wont talk to men she would do the interogations. She also worked with training some women to become female police officers as part of our peace mission over there to get them with the rest of the world, this was something that Uncle Same came up with that didn't go over well, lol.

 But again, thank you for thanking me for my service. My real hero is my oldest daughter tho. Still the toughest mother I have ever known.
