    Idles just got a point so the best the Flyers can do is back into the second WC spot. To do that they have to win out and get help.

    100 agree. Once the shoe did drop, they probably should have made a move for a veteran to pair with Ersson. Would Raanta getting claimed off waivers late in the year been a more stable option for the stretch run? Would he have been able to post a save percentage over .760? Scoring and finishing scoring chances would still have been an issue.

    Was he not allowed to bring his gear from Russia because it didn’t meet NHL requirements or did he flee the country with just the clothes on his back when Briere pulled the G5 up to pick him up in the middle of the night? I realize Fedotov has been thrown into a difficult situation because of how the Flyers botched losing Hart (especially after hearing they were planning to lose him) but I was expecting more especially after the first 20 minutes of his Flyer career.

    How many years ago was the 9-0 loss to the Rags? Tomorrow may top that. Does the 8ft goalie with the lateral movement of a turtle on muscle relaxers get the start or do they ride Ersson until he turns into dust?

    Totally agree that he is a way better player, hell most peewees are better than VandeVelde. I just am not sure why he has become Torts favorite?

    If they start Fedotov tomorrow Ersson can rest until Friday in Buffalo or Saturday in Columbus should the Big Fella play well tomorrow and beat the Islanders.
