First I have heard of this TK and 9-10 mill a year NONSENSE!! UM...NO. Not under any circumstances. Trade him...for even less than he is worth, because if we are typing about it...other GMs are talking about it. He has reduced his value significantly by coming out with these numbers. If he's not part of the solution *(rebuild) than he's part of the problem. Ship him out quick. If the Flyers do not make at least 3 trades this deadline...I will not trust Briere and Jones. Lot of talk with no actual movement towards set goal... the Cup. I piss on this year's playoffs. Could care less. Great opportunity for the kids to get a taste of what it takes to win in the worlds best tournament....BUT NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF THIS REBUILD. STOP THE CYCLE OF MEDIOCRE HOCKEY.

Alexi Kosolov on his way to the USA as soon as his KHL teams season (playoff run) is over! I'm assuming he will be assigned to the Phantoms once he arrives. IF he gets a decent amount of starts in the AHL this year...he could conceivably push for Flyers back up tender next season....although the most likely outcome is 2024-25 get acquainted with North America AHL stint...BUT he could force the issue by dominating pre season!! Let's hope!!

This would make the crosscheck the 2nd worst of the modern era for the Leafs. The 1st? Domi's cheap shot on Scott Niedermayer. Leafs never won another game in that series after Domi pulled that stunt.

Hall was out of control in Windsor also. I suspect it started way before the OHL. I'm going with late bloomer combined with culture shock hurdle...there is stuff in that package.

No room as we speak, but an injury or two and he could force his way on the team. He's got nice wheels and can snipe. He would have to play a well rounded game to stick with Torts though. If he continues on this current path, cream rises to the top. He does seem suited for a top 6 role though...which would really limit his chances. If I was him, I'd be working on tenacious play away from the puck...just to please Torts.

I think there is s respectable chance that Toumaala turns out better than Zegras in the long run.

There is a nice list of players that made out like bandits after outrageously great playoffs. They play out of their minds for 4 rounds and put up stats that they previously had not seemed capable of. Who was that guy for Chicago a few years back, his name escapes me, but he's a prime example.

On 3 years Calgary will be giving up assets to trade Kadri or doing the math on a buy out.

Well, Monahan is younger, has 4 less pts than Kadri and is not signed till 38 yrs old at 7 mill per. Lets face it, Kadri got paid large for that awesome playoff run... Trevling actually hurt the Flames by signing Kadri.

Sorry...1st and future 3rd is a massive overpay. I swore the Habs would get a 2nd...tops. The fact Monahan is a UFA after this season makes it far worse. Calgary gives up a 1st to unload him on Montreal...Montreal gets a 1st and 3rd to trade him....if he signs with Montreal next summer and the process is repeated ....wow....just wow. This makes the Trevling lead Flames look real bad.

This deal seems prudent from both sides. From a Vancouver perspective, they are tied for 1st overall with Boston at 71 pts. One of THE hardest decisions a GM has to make is when is the time to go all in. When your team is in 1st, backed by supremely efficient goaltending, I can't blame them for adding the cherry on top here. This fan base is starving for a Cup, having never won. Kuzmenko may indeed be addition by subtraction, these soft types get eaten alive in the playoffs where you have to fight for every inch of ice. The 1st rd pick may very well be 31st or 32nd overall....not a huge loss, all things considered. The kid from the O looks like the biggest loss here...but gotta give to get, huh? The Flames did well, considering they were under the same gun barrel as Gaudreau and Tkachuk....this outcome should be better...can it be worse? Doubt it...lol. Smart of Vancouver to load up for this run from where I sit, even if it means losing Lindholm as a UFA next year. Not really a time to sit back and hope you have the horses to win, especially considering other GMs in the West WILL be loading up.
