  1. How to mentally out think opponents and anticipate plays By Jacob Vorachek
  2. How to maintain your balance at crucial times... By Jalen Mills
  3. Take the shortest path to the puck and arrive in ill humor... By JVR
  4. How to pick the top corner with your team facing elimination By good ol' frosty tips himself...F you and your cups douche!!
  5. I would bathe in a bucket of warm piss to ship them both out of town. It is official...Voradud is the 19/20 season whipping boy!!
  6. Was talking the NAHANA draft...not the NHL...5th round..really our 10th after assigned keepers.
  7. I know Hirch and Patrick were the unquestioned #1 and #2 that year..but part of me wonders if the Flyers strayed from BPA because of sky high expectations of a young Ghost...Sanhiem, Provy..Morin etc...the shine has lifted on some...but did the Flyers ignore Makar because they thought they were set on D? Patrick had injury concerns and still went forward...??
  8. If draft previews are being purchased, I have a recommendation. It's the Hockey News Top 100 21 and under. They attempt to rank them...including undrafted 17 year olds. Fun stuff and some off Flyer prospect placement. I thought Frost should have been ranked higher.
  9. Only missed by 14....lol. I'll say it right here...Makar gets 78 pts this season...breaking the record by 2 pts...best 5th round pick...maybe ever?
  10. I thought Jack Hughes was gonna kill it in Jersey...so I went Jack in the 4th round and Makar in the 5th in NAHANA. Was gonna reverse that but thought Jack might be gone...tough start for him but think he will get better as the year goes. It gets used to much these days...but time to start mentioning the G word in regards to Cale....as in generational.
  11. OK....some crazy stuff going on in Ave's land! The all time record for a rookie defensemen is 76 by the great Larry Murphy. Even Ray Bourque had under 70...he had 4th best with 65 rookie pts. Makar is on pace for 93. Staggering. The scary part is he is doing this with Rantanen and Landeskog both out with serious injuries. Cales hockey sense is outrageous for a rookie...howitzer of a shot...wicked moves, agile and smart. He reminds me of Bourque as a rookie. He has 100 pt potential...as silly as that sounds in this day and age.
  12. He's with Boser and Pet on the top pp...not a huge JT Miller fan, but you can do worse with a 5×5 linemate. Seems like some forward depth is needed. At least they have Quinn who is indeed the straw that stirs the drink.
  13. Horvat started for the under 17 Team Canada and WJ squad. Hyped from a very young age. I hoped he would become a star, but he seems like a below average 1C. His 4th year, last season netted 61 pts. Slight uptick so far in year 5...I have him coming in around 65 pts...maybe 70 if Boser and the boys can stay healthy he joins the 70+ club. One positive is 6 pp goals already...after getting only 7 all last year. Quinn Hughes and his fine qbing skills provide all Van players with an elite puck distributor. I think his ceiling is 80 pts but some things have to go right for that to happen.
  14. I'm sure the org views Frost as a potential future offensive catalyst. Kinda taking the mantel from G as the go to guy. Dont know if he climbs to those lofty heights...but the pure raw talent is there in abundance.
  15. Like Hayes does. He shields the puck with that big frame like a madman. Opens up cycles and offensive chances by doing so. Asking big bodies to shield the puck to allow teammates to get in position is not a big ask!
  16. I'm guessing Stewart is still here cause he is cheap...sitting in the press box will not stall his career and if he does dress he has excellent shoot out scoring percentage. I'm ok with him sitting in the rafters.
  17. I was not advocating acquiring Toff, Doughty or Quick...was just saying if they were to move on from them...someone would have to fill the Doughty void and Ghost is cost efficient for a top pp qb. Just dreaming of ways to move on from Ghost. He will never be reliable in his own end and having a top 6 guy like him is something that opponents key on in the playoffs...soft and not ultra smart....as we would had seen had we not missed the playoffs for the last meldonium.
  18. Just tossing this out there...but the Kings seem in line for a full scale rebuild. If guys like Toffoli, Quick and Doughty were traded for picks and or prospects a need for a relatively cheap pp option like Ghost could arise.
  19. Nice post. I also think it's very important to keep Giroux and Farabee together. It really is the best way to get the most out of both of them. Farabee likes to muck it up, dig out pucks out of the corner, create turnovers. Throw in his smart passing, hockey sense and F will allow G to create and generate offense. I hope no one takes this literally, but Farabee actually reminds of a better skating version of a young Bobby Clarke. Not saying he will be that...but I see a LOT of similarities in their games. The kid is gonna be special and has AllStar upside. Ditto for Frost ( and Konency also !). I love the compete level our youngsters have... bodes well for REAL Flyers hockey to return....where we outworked and outhustled everything in our path.
  20. Andreoff is a nice story. If fans that knew the Flyers well were to pick 10 Phantoms that could/would make the jump to the NHL...I dont think he would be on any lists. We can use a nice dash of desperation around here...it might even be catchy?
  21. Leafs vs Flyers on my birthday? You knew O & B was gonna come through! Nice team effort. Was really impressed with Myers...lots of accurate quick decisions and tape to tape passes. Farabee is a winner. Tremendous work ethic, great hands and smart for a kid...more please. V has to go...useless!
  22. The lesson here is do NOT draft players with questionable skating. Bad skaters do not become fast...they become serviceable IF they have terrific hands. That is the very best outcome for Bobby Brink, sad to say.
  23. You might be right about them showcasing Hagg. Like you said it backfired if that was the case. Hagg is SO meh. Here we have a guy who is supposed to be unspectacular (understatement) but dependable...and you cant depend on him. I like Myers being with the big club. At the very least he can skate, which should be the starting prerequisite for any Flyer prospect forever.
  24. Was talking about Morin and his earlier stint with the Flyers. He sat in the press box for 8 games or so....not sure how this helps a young kid...at least play him and give him the potential to fetch a nice return if he is not in their plans.
