  1. If the window is open, someone push his azz out! If no one is available, I’ll do it
  2. I’m pretty confident he’ll be GM and turn the franchise around…..after rebuilding it
  3. Future Laughtons? The one we have presently is bad enough. This is like clearing the way for the future Holmgrens
  4. Isn’t every draft pick unproven? It’s all the same to me
  5. I'm calling BS. We already established Briere does not worry about injuries. According to RJ (about Drysdale), "its obvious that Briere didnt factor in his chronic injury history"
  6. My argument is based off logic. Professional hockey GM's dont ignore the best deal on the table for a lesser deal. Some apparently suck at this. It is a FACT, not conjecture or assumption, that Gautier forced this trade. That makes it another FACT, that the Flyers had no leverage and were forced to move him. Tehy didn't want to. They had to make a deal . So they secured one of those "coveted' second rounders everyone around here freaks out over, and a former #6, first round pick. Specifically, a guy with tremendous upside. I'm not assuming Briere did anything but trade a number 5 overall pick, for a number 6 overall pick, with a 2nd to sweeten it. I think Briere, that's right THINK, Briere took the injuries into account, and thought this was still the best deal he could get. So, what was offered by these other clubs? Colorado for example? What were the willing to give up for Gautier? I'll hang up and wait for your answer
  7. Your entire argument is based on YOUR assumptions. Just because the idiots prior to Briere did things a certain way, doesn't mean he is going to. That is why they are no longer here, and he is. Okay, I agree. You said, "other" offers. I just held with the logic that a GM is going to make the best deal he can, and took the "best" offer. Your response to that is, he didn't, because any of Holmgren/Fletcher/Hextall wouldn't have. I mean, seriously? That's the argument? You said Briere didn't factor Drysdale's injury history. How could you actually know this? Were you in the room? Are you Briere? You also said you "know for a fact" that Colorado made an offer. Do you know what that offer was? If you do, could you share it so we can all decide if it was better than Drysdale? For that matter, are you saying the offer was better? If you knew that to be true I would think you would lead with that argument. I will agree with you on your summation of Patrick and Ellis, even though Patrick was not traded for, and I get you being disenchanted with a guy who has a history of injuries. However, the sky isnt actually falling. It was an acorn
  8. based on what? It seems logical to most that Briere took the best offer available. But you keep saying there were better offers and he didnt take them. If thats true, hes incompetent. Where are you getting information that says there were better offers?
  9. If Buffalo thinks this, it could explains why they suck so bad
  10. So, you’re not saying he had a better deal and didn’t take it, your saying he’s incompetent and didn’t know he had that better deal? and you know this, how?
  11. Yeah, good point. I’m sure Danny had better offers on the table but said, “FCK that. I’m going to take a lesser deal, and all you haters can suck it”
  12. the only smart move the Flyers have made since 1975 was signing Jon Sim. He's the only player to overturn instant replay
  13. Seriously, the Flyers should have never traded for Lindros..... take that!
  14. i wouldnt give anyone a Coots style contract, ever again
  15. The season is over. YAY! Time to move one. I welcome the off season and draft. Lets see what changes they have in store. At this point, I'm looking forward to next season. I don't really care what happened this season
  16. yeah but, but, but, anything can happen......right?
  17. i completely agree with this. and it does irritate me I will hold out though til next season. Let's see what the rest of the off season will bring
  18. I don't support it, I understand it. I have the same overall opinion of most on here. If they had off loaded everything of value at the deadline, I would have been happy. Especially since this would put an end to the Laughton saga and we could all be friends again. I don't think anyone thought they would play the way they did. But since it happened, I think they had no choice but try. And they did so without abandoning the overall plan of rebuilding. I guess my passion does not equal many. When they don't do things my way, I don't take it as hard. I still think they are moving in the right direction. They gave us a team that was interesting to watch. And since so many are all anxious about things the team is doing in these crucial games leading to the PO's, I think that confirms how much we fans have enjoyed the season. If they had made a typical boneheaded move of giving away key assets to chase some over the hill star, and signed said star to a long term deal with a NMC, while throwing in sweetners, I would be as pissed as the rest of you. I would have no issues turning off the tv and watching something else
