Bryz stopped 25 of 26 shots Sat night and is to report to the Oilers on Monday. Tuesday the Oilers host the Columbus Blue Jackets, which means we could see a Bryzgalov start vs. Bobrovsky. Ironic eh? I do hope we get to see this matchup.

It only took 12 seconds for the Blackhawks to put the game out of the Blues reach last night in St. Louis and today the Blues are singing the Blues. The Blackhawks faced a little adversity when starting tender, The Crow, left the game after stopping all six St Louis shots in the first period (see below). First, Congrats to the Blackhawks on setting the record! At 14-0-3, the Hawks set an NHL record by going 17 straight games without a regulation loss to open a season with the win over San Jose on Friday night. Tonight, the beloved Blackhawks face the 5-11-2 Columbus Blue Jackets who are capping off a six game road trip (going 1-4). A couple of years too late. There is speculation that Dave Taylor might be a candidate for the job. He was the GM in LA for quite some time and is currently serving as the VP of Hockey Operations in St. Louis where he worked for Davidson. Prior to that he was the Director of Player Personnel in Dallas. Bob McKenzie added via Twitter that the team may consider Finnish executive Jarmo Kekalainen as a potential replacement. Tyler Myers To Return By Friday? The Buffalo Sabers D-man Tyler Myers has been out since suffering a broken wrist Nov. 19, he said today he is fully healed and is hopeful of returning Friday when the Sabres visit Carolina. Today at the First Niagara Center Myers said to the press that he hopes he is ready to go by friday. He also said that he has no physcial pain on his writst when he does a fast moving motion (like taking a slap shot) but he would like to take it easy when playing his first few weeks back.
