Look Voracek gets on my last nerves like a few here but he isn't hot garbage. He has value (sure the contract holds that back some) and it may be he is stuck in Philly next season. Like him or not he does produce. He put up 43 points on a bad team. Giroux put up 43 on a bad team. JVR 43 on a bad team. But guess what Brayden Point put up only 48 on a Stanley Cup winner. Palat put up 46 on a Stanley Cup winner. Yeah they only had 2 40 point forwards. So if the Flyers are stuck with these guys another year i isn't the end of the world. Who knows if they fix the blueline they could once again make the playoffs. No matter what the aren't a Cup contender next with or without these guys. Now i know JVR isn't Landeskog for sure but here me out he could be interested in JVR with a decent controlled contract already only 500K more than what Landeskog was making this past season. And their production isn't that far off. So he could plug JVR into their 2nd line in GL spot go through 2021. And if he didn't like it maybe move next summer or before the following season's deadline. Not sure how much GL is seeking i saw around 8 mill per season. Any ways a slow day here and i always like Landeskog and his game would have wanted him in Philly. It is why i would offer something to help them out as well as the Flyers. Gourde could take Patrick's spot in the protection process or they could still just trade them Ghost so they could expose him or give the Bolts back something they might not have to protect or care less if they lost for Gourde in return. You could give a sweeten to do it to like a 2nd round pick or a prospect like Rubtsov or something so as they are not left empty handed...whatever you do would want to lose Gourde and have zilch to show for it. Wait, you want me to come up with my own ideas? But it's much easier to be an ahole shooting down the ideas of others! Let me think about it. I'm onboard with the general concept as you explain it but I don't like York on the 3rd pair or Braun on the team. And I really think Eichel will be a disaster for whoever trades for him. I think we're replacing the Voracek cancer with the Eichel cancer. And a significantly broken cancer. And an even more expensive cancer. If Eichel was your way of distracting me from the fact you traded for Jones, well done. It didn't work, but I appreciate the attempt. Diabolical. Much respect. I don't know.
