Per Elliotte’s 31 thoughts podcast, he said he has heard Dvorak’s name out there

I would totally kick the tires on this Arizona needs young bodies.

Offer Patrick and Hagg and a prospect maybe. Dvorak could take Patrick spot in the protection order.

This would be a good option if you can't work out something for a trade for Ellis.

Coots Dvorak Frost Laughton center depth??? Dvorak can play LW too.

Any ways throwing around ideas.

23 Oskar Lindblom - 18 Christian Dvorak - 17 Wade Allison
86 Joel Farabee - 24 Morgan Frost- 11 Travis Konecny
22 Tyson Foerster - 12 Tanner Laczynski- 13 Bobby Brink
14 Elliott Desnoyers - 21 Scott Laughton - 19 Zayde Wisdom

Not a bad bright future i say....remember none of this lineup is set in stone before anyone freaks out.

Thoughts?? And yes i am sober...

how about this for the heck of it, i'll call bluff on the rumors until i see it

Bernier was the guy I wanted them to sign a few years back. I've always liked him.

Read the Wild board on here about Suter being bought it...it's pretty much "good riddance" all the way around. I never really liked him when he was good. And now he's not.

Tampa won back to back with defence, toughness and special teams, not pretty. Did you see anyone ever take liberties with their goalie? Part of Carter Harts decline was playing deeper in his crease because of the softness of the 5 guys in front of him. Shift after shift.

I actually hate it on a lot of levels, starting with but not limited to Eichel.   But were you attempting to make predictions or were you advocating for that?  I mean, I don't like the forward lines or the defensive pairings either way, but I'll buy it as a prediction.

I am going to laugh so hard if/when G, JVR, and Voracek are all still on the roster opening night.

I don't expect Giroux to be going anywhere.

But there is a huge chance Jake and JVR are still here too.

But there is a small chance one of them gets selected too.

However not to rain on your parade i don't recall anyone here guaranteeing all or even one of them will be gone so it isn't like your prediction is earth shattering....yep it's true.

Look Voracek gets on my last nerves like a few here but he isn't hot garbage.

He has value (sure the  contract holds that back some) and it may be he is stuck in Philly next season. Like him or not he does produce.

He put up 43 points on a bad team. Giroux put up 43 on a bad team. JVR 43 on a bad team.

But guess what Brayden Point put up only 48 on a Stanley Cup winner.

Palat put up 46 on a Stanley Cup winner. Yeah they only had 2 40 point forwards.

So if the Flyers are stuck with these guys another year i isn't the end of the world.

Who knows if they fix the blueline they could once again make the playoffs.

No matter what the aren't a Cup contender next with or without these guys.

It is true they don't have star power on this team. And it won't change in a year.

But guess what the sun will come up tomorrow.

Off topic of this a little but i wonder if Sakic would be interested in JVR as a replacement for Landeskog's rights??

Now i know JVR isn't Landeskog for sure but here me out he could be interested in JVR with a decent controlled contract already only 500K more than what Landeskog was making this past season. And their production isn't that far off.

So he could plug JVR into their 2nd line in GL spot go through 2021. And if he didn't like it maybe move next summer or before the following season's deadline.

Not sure how much GL is seeking i saw around 8 mill per season. Any ways a slow day here and i always like Landeskog and his game would have wanted him in Philly.

And even if he wanted to much at least JVR's 7 mill would be off the books.

I, too, don't know if it's realistic, but do it.  DO IT.  DO IT NOW!

I'm going to go 3 years 10 mill.

No need to go longer than that right now.

Well if you care here is a mock expansion draft and it doesn't shock me but i don't like it.

@TropicalFruitGirl26

You sure you don't want to make a trade for Gourde instead of losing him for nothing??

There has to be a better way.

Well there might be ways around it but if they don't sort it out due to their cap issues it will be him or Cernak maybe.

It is why i would offer something to help them out as well as the Flyers.

Gourde could take Patrick's spot in the protection process or they could still just trade them Ghost so they could expose him or give the Bolts back something they might not have to protect or care less if they lost for Gourde in return.

You could give a sweeten to do it to like a 2nd round pick or a prospect like Rubtsov or something so as they are not left empty handed...whatever you do would want to lose Gourde and have zilch to show for it.

I guess the good news if this is how it went down they would have 17.5 mill to spend in free agency will Ghost cap hit off the books.

i understand your reasoning, the only reason i put this up is because if you want bring in as much talent depth as possible without going over the cap is play the rookies since they are cheap while having proven talent on the roster, this is just an example i know that's not going to happen but i just think this a good way to rebuild your team without tanking.

what's your lineup ideas? im open for anything.

Wait, you want me to come up with my own ideas?  But it's much easier to be an ahole shooting down the ideas of others!

Let me think about it. I'm onboard with the general concept as you explain it but I don't like York on the 3rd pair or Braun on the team.

And I really think Eichel will be a disaster for whoever trades for him.    I think we're replacing the Voracek cancer with the Eichel cancer. And a significantly broken cancer. And an even more expensive cancer.

If Eichel was your way of distracting me from the fact you traded for Jones, well done. It didn't work, but I appreciate the attempt.  Diabolical. Much respect.

I don't know. I don't have great options but I'll try to post something later.  At least you're putting up ideas.
