Oh. Not a heavy collision, but definitely an awkward fall.

Yes. It looked painful I just hope it isn't too serious he has already torn his ACL once in college not sure which knee it was.

Haven't seen anything on Morin yet.

Fingers crossed.

I heard Morin wrecked his knee again? Is this true? Anyone have info?  Allison went to locker room after a collision in corner , they said he hurt his knee, not sure how bad. I hope he is OK.

So in today news as a shocker I am sure Morin is ok and he wasn't hurt bad.

Amazing.

Just report it first who cares if it is right we just want to be first.

I don't know.   The Inquirer just published this 12 minutes ago and ascribes the source to Fletcher.

https://www.inquirer.com/flyers/flyers-wade-allison-samuel-morin-injury-update-20210920.html

Quote

Samuel Morin, the 6-foot-7, 230-pound defenseman whose career has been filled with bad luck, will not be be with the Flyers when training camp opens Thursday, general manager Chuck Fletcher confirmed Monday.

Morin has an apparent knee injury. Again.

Fletcher also said he was “still waiting to hear” from his medical staff for an update on injured right winger Wade Allison, who showed so much promise in a stint with the Flyers late last season.

Then again, the Inquirer report just says he'll be out Thursday and little else.   That's not really confirming what San Filippo said, either.  San Filippo made it sound like he'd be out forever.

Yes. So someone isn't telling the truth.

And someone might need to find a new source.

Let's just hope that Allison is OK too

I'm actually more concerned about him. Nothing against Morin but I think Allison becomes the more important player of the two on Philly.

And why is practically everyone who writes for the Flyers are total jerks?

Allison would be the most physical scoring winger we have had since Wayne Simmonds but with a Tim Kerr style shot. You are right , he is very valuable and a key missing ingredient we have lacked. It just seems that some guys have been jinxed with bad luck and injuries right from the start it used to be Lindros and Bourdon now it’s Morin and Allison, one injury after another.

I think Jim Acosta is gonna be the new Flyers reporter. Larry Brookes of the NYR is a total jerk. Tortarella used to curse him out daily.

Based on today's news seems like Anthony SanFilippo wasn't all the way wrong.

Morin is 6 to 8 weeks with surgery.

So while maybe there wasn't a big event that caused the surgery, Morin is definitely out for a time.

The Hayes news bums me out.

Those core surgeries are no joke and hard to recover from.

If there was anyone that would have been looking forward to the season, playing hockey and being around the boys I would think he's in the top 2 based on his year so far.

I hope he's taking care of his mental health  too.

They knew he had a core problem last season and they're just getting to it now? That was one of the things that "came out" when they were talking about why they didn't play up to expectations last Spring.

I don't understand waiting until September to have the surgery. At all.

And, to your point, the recovery is not great. This could be another season where Hayes isn't entirely what they need him to be. Wayne Simmonds 2.0.

There's probably something I'm missing here, but it seems really disappointing.

@radoran

I thought Hayes had the surgery in May or June.

Is that not correct?

I think this is an separate injury , not neglect.
