Minnesota Wild @ New Jersey Devils, 11/24/2021

Big game for the Wild. Need a win to get 3 points out of the 3 game road trip. Won’t be easy though. Devils are a good, young and improving team. Already have wins this year over Tampa and Florida, whom they beat 7-2. Jack Hughes is still out. Mercer is a good player and while I’ve never cared for Subban, the defensemen are a good looking group.

Wild will need to be sharp to get the win. Let’s go!!!!!

I am not sure I'd characterize this is a 'big game' for the Wild but certainly an opportunity to get another 2 points and hold serve as they'd say in tennis.  I think the first period kind of demonstrated the Wild's mindset to be physical against this younger, smaller team.

Did the Wild trade Ryan Carter for Gigi? :P
Haven't seen him in since Gigi took over.

Gigi Marvin provides far better insight than either Carter or Walz.  Walz can't help himself but to talk about himself for most of the period.  Gigi Marvin is perhaps the most insightful commentator they've had in the booth besides Lou Nanne.

She does a nice job for sure. Maybe takes a bit long to get out her commentary ala Walz.
