I was under the impression he was onboard with it, but not like it was his suggestion or desire. Was that wrong? The idiot who thought Therien and Yeo was a good idea, the idiot who thought Risto, trading picks to get rid of Ghost, etc., the idiot allowing Yeo to stay (based on WHAT???): that's who should be getting the ax. And the puppet masters behind and above him pushing for the idiocy, should be axed. Literally. This is just more of the same. I can't say I actually even care anymore. I feel badly for AV. Yes, he will get salary and a likely rehire at some point. But I think he was committed to bringing a Cup. I don't think he had the horses to get there, and neither will his successor. Perversely, I hope the team continues to implode. Maybe we pray and get a gamechanger in the draft. Along those lines--time to go the Buffalo route and try to get picks and avoid the temptation to keep Risto aboard. So....we fix goaltending for the first time in ages...to what end. Really strange.
