flyercanuck Posted December 8, 2021 Share Posted December 8, 2021 Just an FYI...the "Michigan" goal was created by former Barrie Colt and Philadelphia Flyer Bill Armstrong, who taught the move to Mike Legg. Armstrong had already scored many goals like that in his career and taught Legg the move while they were training together in London where they're both from. Legg didn't actually use the move in a game til years later where he became famous. Not sure why Armstrong wasn't way before that. Another thing about Armstrong was he was over a thousand point player for the Flyers. He only played one game for Philly, where he had an assist.
