Game 76: Sabres at Flyers; 4/17/22 @ 5:00 PM, NBCSP

The early odds still show the Flyers as favorites (-120) despite the 4-3 loss last night.  It looks like Sandstrom will start--Hart may be shut down for the year.   FYI, despite a small sample, Sandstrom's numbers actually look quite good:

If we give the Sabres as much time and space to shoot as we did on Saturday, we will lose.

Yeah, have your favorite drink and spoil your dinner appetite watching the final phases of this season.

Well I won't be home from work till 7:30.

Not sure I'll do anything more than box score watching.

Keep the tank going...

So, Buffalo and Granato are getting their act together. I wonder if a new coach and this squad will say the same next year?

Sabres have some big young skill.  I hope they continue to improve. Flyers, not so much.

The difference is this time they cleaned house and went with the kids. They add some solid goaltending and they will compete for the playoffs.

We on the other hand helped them clean house and got swept by them this year. A new low point. Pretty sure this is two teams going in opposite directions.

Phrasing?

😀

When Kevin Hayes is your first line centerman your team isn't good.

These last two games were pretty instructive.

The Flyers looked bad.

Some of the young guys have some fight in them.

There were some plays where guys' newness was pretty evident.

New to the league and each other, they looked disjointed.

It's got to be embarrassing for the players.

Buffalo was faster, played with some discipline and structure, and they look like they have a lot more skill.

I wonder how much longer the Flyers can keep stumbling around the league like this before Bettman calls and tells them they're moving to Hamilton or Quebec City?
