Alexandron
Those are sad news. Thanks for posting this very nice article about a Hall of Fame Legend. I remember his such a productive play since 70-ies. His 50+goals/per season 6 seasons in a row were so impressing for me. Fantastic player!
yave1964
I became a Hockey fan when the Wings were in the middle of their Infamous Dead Things era, I remember the Habs Dynasty with love and respect, Flower flying down the ice with his famous hair flowing behind looking like god himself could not catch him on a breakaway. RIP to a Legend. First Bossy now Flower, I think I am going back to bed now.
Math
Before it was Bossy, now Lafleur, series' law sucks. In fact, he definitively retired as a North Star where he was a member of the organization for about 24 hours after the 1991 expansion draft that followed the San José dispersal draft. A Modano-Lafleur-Bellows line, that could've been fun...
Wild Thing
Very sad news. A true legend of hockey and only 70 years old. Like Mike Bossy, I never got to enjoy seeing him play a game live. When Lafleur decided to return to the NHL I was born, but only a baby and not watching hockey. Watching videos of these legends has been such a pleasure. Yeah those guys would smoke between periods too. Wasn’t Bossy a heavy smoker too? I quit those bastards 7 years ago. Best thing I ever did

Popular Post blocker
When my youngest was a peewee, we got a chance to attend a Canadiens optional practice. No coaches on the ice. Players were free to practice whatever they wanted. Despite his reputation as an undisciplined free spirit, Lafleur pushed himself hard. I think my son learned a lesson that day. Success requires hard work. 5 1
