NHL HHOF
How An NHL Player Can Score 1000 Goals in 20 Seasons; How An NHL Goaltender Can Join the 500+ Goals Club I'm waiting for someone to come along and purposely score just 50 goals a season for 20 seasons. 20 x 50 = 1000 goals I'm also waiting for an NHL goaltender who has it in his mind that he wants to be the first goaltender to score 500 goals, but it can't be just any goaltender, because then that goaltender would get accused of not doing what he is supposed to be doing. It has to be an elite goaltender who will also break all of Martin Brodeur's records, or maybe just surpass Patrick Roy and Terry Sawchuk. Win some Cups too! An NHL goaltender can accumulate 500 career goals by playing 20 seasons and scoring 25 goals each season. 20 x 25 = 500 goals. Obviously, most of the goals will be scored late in the third period on an empty net. it seems like an easy task. NHL HHOF
If an NHL goaltender scored 500 empty net goals, he would break Wayne Gretzky's record of 56 empty net goals.
