  1. 1. Wild Card Upset or Division Winner Dominance?

    • 1- Stars shock everyone (except themselves) by putting away the Flames in 4!
      0
    • 2- Stars in 5, play out of their minds, match Calgary in every category, and skate off with the convincing series win.
      0
    • 3- Stars in 6, showing Dallas really can play with the big boys, face adversity, and come out on top.
      0
    • 4- Stars in 7 in a brutal series where perhaps the Flames didn't capitalize on all their chances, while Dallas certainly did!
      0
    • 5- Flames in 4. Nothing to see here folks...Calgary does what some expect, and do away with the pretending Stars.
    • 6- Flames in 5. Dallas offers a bit of resistance, but nothing that phases the Flames. Onward Cgy marches.
    • 7- Flames in 6. Stars put up a bigger fight than people think, make things interesting, but Flames still too much.
    • 8- Flames in 7. Dallas pushes Sutter's boys to the limit and almost pull it out, but find themselves just shy of glory.

Oh, completely disagree.  Glendening didn't see him coming.  Zadorov doesn't leave his skates, but he raises that shoulder and hits Glendening right in the head.  There was no chance to turn away at all.  Should have been a penalty at the time, and it should have been a 1 game suspension.  But, these officials and the league aren't consistent with their accountability, so he gets nothing at all.

Yes, the head needs to be up and aware in the NHL.  However, that doesn't mean that contact to the head should be disregarded.  Had Glendening seen him, and had time to adjust and try to avoid it(like Crosby did with the hit on him), and moved his head into the contact, then it would be another story.  It just wasn't the case with this hit.

Ok...thought I remembered seeing Glendenning looking at puck then look up then look back at puck before getting hit...or maybe it was he looked up right before getting hit...

Thinking also Zadorov doesn't have history of dirty hits too so that has to factor in - but at least now there might be a Zadovrov fight on Sunday and hopefully not a useless fight near end of game because either way they gonna have to shake everyone hand at end anyways.

Yes, former porn actress (to be confirmed) and a Dallas transplant from Toronto. Oh wait... Toronto? Damn, not the Leafs game #7 curse. So maybe not a good idea to send her to Alberta.

Looked her up and yeah it must be her looks just like her😃

If Been is involved, then it will be a useless fight. But I didn't recall Zadorov as a tough D-man. Big and heavy yes, but not that intimidating. When he was with Avs vs. the Stars in the 2020 series, he was barely a factor, playing mostly in the third pair.

But if this game #7 is turning physical, I fear for the Stars: they have been so soft, it's obvious just by looking at Klingberg who has been molested in the entire series.

how's our buddy Suter doing

Absolutely fantastic. Slow, lazy, out of position, piling up PP minutes with zero efficiency, and even hooking his own players. Exceptional leadership, magnificient presence in the locker room, a true winner. So I want to thank again GM Nill for this great signing, giving him $3.6M for the next four ****** years with, of course, the full kit NTC/NMC. And it's not if Minny people warned all the hockey world out loud (then confirmed by Arnott himself)...

One positive thing though. Another Suter buyout will cost the Stars $1M the next season, $750k the follwing two, and $1.4M the final one. Totally manageable and not that dramatic. Now it's up to the management if they really want to build around Heiskanen, Hintz, Robertson and Öttinger, so if they really want to jeopardize this by letting #20 dictate the fate of this franchise and build another country club with Benn and Seguin.

Damn, I need a new profession to land me a seat right behind the bench. 🤣  My Physical Therapy job don't get me anywhere close to the ice when I go to the Leafs games.

1-0 Stars, Been unexpectedly scored after less than one minute in the game. But if the Stars continue to skate back, they will be playing in northern Yukon by midnight.

WTF is wrong with these announcers!?
"Jake Öttinger continues to shine in this game"

This game??
That young man has been shining ALL freakin series! Even when has lost he has looked good.

I get both Dallas and Calgary are defensive minded teams so scoring will be low, but he has matched Jacob Markstrom save for save for the most part.

Yeah, those national feeds stink. I'm glad to have the TVA french broadcast.

I've listened to some of those French feeds...
Because I don't speak the language, when the announcers get really excited about stuff, sounds like they are going insane in the booth....speaking in tongues and what not! 😄

And they have some cool options too, like automatically selecting ythe slow motion mode depending on the team. For example that option is set specifically for the Stars but I'm unable to unselect it...

25-4 in SOG in the lone second period. You gotta be ****** kiddin'... Relying only on Öttinger and letting him deal with this mud is not really a recipe for success, but I guess that's the plan: hope for a miracle and capitalize on a misuderstanding.

Thanks to the final regular season night with the amazing Coyote comeback against Nashville, the Dallas Stars avoided the Avalanche in the first round.

Will it make any difference?  Here they are in what looks like a 50-50 crapshoot with the Calgary Flames.

The Calgary Flames are outplaying the Dallas Stars and the lopsided shots on goal are just ridiculous. It would be a shame for the Calgary team if they don't advance, but it would also be a shame if Dallas does not advance for the sake of goalie Jake Oettinger.
