Playoffs Suck!

Same result too.

Many of the Panthers "better" players went MIA in the playoffs.

Huberdeau, Barkov didn't exactly carry their weight.

Giroux was decent- somehow that's bad?

Not really understanding your point, other than perhaps you're acting as a cleansing agent?

I think the whole problem was that Giroux filled a need for Florida that didn't really exist.

They were a President's trophy winner without him. With him they get bounced by the two time Champions. Would that have happened anyway?

For me, Giroux is simply not a difference maker by himself - my evidence is only his career.

He is a great complimentary player - but that sort of chemistry doesn't happen in a handful of games after the trade deadline.

Of course #nothisfault

@mojo1917  We have been over this ground. You know from where I come and I know you. Well met.

If you add a "superstar" to a team on course for the President's trophy and you lose in the second round...

#legendary

The playoffs do suck in some ways when the Flyers sucked so bad this past season I realize they will most likely not sniff the playoff for several years to come.

What also sucks is I live in the Kansas City, Missouri area and they show hockey news coverage of both the Calgary Flames and the St. Louis Blues.  They follow the Calgary Flames here because of the Kansas City Mavericks of the ECHL and the Flames are affiliated with them. The Blues are 4 hours away from here. So I heard about both of those teams until recently they were both eliminated.

I have still been watching the playoffs because I enjoy watching hockey, but I'd much rather be cheering the Flyers on.

I was born in 1995 and have never seen the team win the Stanley Cup and would love to see that happen.

Playoffs still suck, but :oilers:vs :avalanche: , game 1, is pretty entertaining

Too bad the Flyers never had a chance to draft that Makar kid :hithead:

You don't NEED no stinkin Makar.

Not when you have a wily vet like Risto anchoring your blue line!

Don't worry the Flyers will eventually sign Cale Makar when he is about 38 years old to probably a 7 year deal for 8 million per year.

Now that is truly funny but the way this club is run…. Not far from the truth.

you are fitting in quite nicely here 😁

Will they a playoff team by then, or still aggressively retooling?

Pretty sure the Devils and Stars feel the same way...

But, as we know, Bob Clarke really wanted the defenseman playing for an American college and not the Canadian juniors center. I mean, that's just logic.

In fairness to Clarke, Makar was drafted out of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. To your point, Clarke probably never heard of him until he was playing for Colorado.

This reminds me the videoclip of the Stones Roses "I wanna be adored" with the comment of a guy who summarized this song as the heartbreaking and insightful story of a resilient guy who wanted to be a door.

Yeah, I love it too. They have quite a unique vibe and Ian Brown kept on doing good stuff in solo.

Yeah, but he had already committed to UMass.

In 16 years as Flyers GM Clarke picked defense in the first round four times.

Kerry Huffman

Darren Rumble

Jeff Woywitka

Joni Pitkanen

I'm not sure he qualified to comment...
