He has a 460-457-167 career record with the Hurricanes and Toronto Maple Leafs.Maurice joined the Hurricanes franchise while they were the Hartford Whalers in 1995-96 and was - at the time - the youngest coach in league history at the age of 28. After the club moved to North Carolina in 1997, Maurice helped lead the franchise to two Southeast Division titles and its first Stanley Cup Final appearance in 2001-02.ITwo seasons ago, he became the 19th coach and the youngest in history to coach 1,000 NHL games. Prior to re-joining the Hurricanes, Maurime collected a record of 76-66-22 during two full seasons as coach of the Maple Leafs from 2006 to 2008.B
blocker
Muller was a tough, hard working player. He's been tutored as a coach under some of the best. I wish him well. But, something that one of his teammates, (No, it wasn't John LeClair) once said, kinda makes me wonder. The importance of Muller's leadership during the '93 Canadiens Cup winning came up. The player said that if screaming fits in the locker room were "leadership", then Muller was a leader.
