Laffs fire their head coach

Carlyle is a good coach. I was bummed to see him let go in Anaheim. (The shelf life of an NHL head coach only lasts so long.)

He will have that team playing well in shoort order, especially defensively.

Shouldn't this be posted in the Laffs section?

Yep, but it's really funny right here.

Yeah, he is a good coach. Does this make Toronto into Anaheim north?

I don't know. It seems to me the Lauffs are right about where they should be, given their team. At the beginning of the year, they were playing well over their heads and now they're playing a little worse than what they actually are. It all balances out.

You can argue for a coaching change, I suppose, but I really don't know that it was warranted.

Wonder who gets a job first? Ron Wilson or Paul Maurice? I would say Wilson. Both will probably land on their feet faster than the Leafs. Kessel is going to have to carry them. Burke may be next. I knew we would catch them. Just never thought it would take this long. A big win over the Habs does not mean their problems are fixed. Let;s see how they do over the next several games.
