Brewin Flames Posted July 7, 2022 Share Posted July 7, 2022 The Montreal Canadiens have acquired Kirby Dach from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for the 13th and 66th overall picks in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The Canadiens acquired the 13th pick in a separate trade. Dach had nine goals and 26 points in 70 contests last season and at the age of 21, he should continue to develop. TropicalFruitGirl26 Posted July 8, 2022 Share Posted July 8, 2022 Not sure what Chicago is thinking here, but Montreal apparently made out well taking some of the Blackhawks offense to add it to their own burgeoning forward units. Now....if Montreal can figure out who will be doing any defending (I'm assuming vets like Jeff Petry will be goners) and who will stop the puck (Carey Price sticking around?
