Tony D'Angelo for 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks

Recommended Posts

Plus Gostisbehere dealt with knee injuries for 2+ seasons, injuries that greatly affected his mobility, which explains why his numbers went south for awhile. When he was traded he was completely healed and symptom-free. But Fletcher (and AV) decided he was just an overpaid PP specialist. Now Fletcher signs a similar player except this one has a long history of being a total and complete a-hole.

No they just viewed him as a cannon from the point who began to not even get his shot through.

And they didn't think he could QB a power play worth a damn.

Not my words theirs....I am paraphrasing a little but essentially what they thought.

That was what Ellis was for but their insurance policy was a way way past his prime Yandle.

I never knew Yandle was as bad in his end as I had heard joked about. But I understand now.

Man he was so bad I almost felt bad for him the little I even watched.

I rather they drag Walker and Kubina out of retirement than ever watch Yandle skate with the orange and black again.

A look at what the power play may try to put on the ice...

...TD and Sanheim should be able to help with the transition game and getting the puck out and up to the fowards.

What they do i wan the burden eased some on Ivan so he understand he doesn't have to feel he has to do it all by himself.

I hope he and TD can develop some chemistry. One of the biggest issues moving into next year.

I expect Risto to play himself to the 3rd pair to eventually a healthy scratch. Happy to be wrong.

Could Saneim and Attard be a thing to eventually lock into the top 4?? Anything to see less of Risto.

🙏

Because it will mean many of the HUGE egos will be admitting to the ridiculous mistake among MANY mistakes was made.

I get it but i am hoping eventually Torts will insist....then we'll see how much power he wields if any.

It shouldn't be something that "eventually" happens.  It's how the 2nd pairing should be from the start.

No argument here. So if we see this why can't hockey people see this?

With Sanheim "eventually" becoming Provy's partner, because DeAngelo's game isn't NHL top pair worthy.

I am holding out a chance of Ivan trying to be the defensive guy and let TD concentrate on being an outlet pass or the guy to get the puck moving up ice.

I can't say i know leaps and bounds about his game. I don't remember him sticking out in a bad way the times i watched the Canes play.

And, they just aren't capable of doing that.

I have to hope you're wrong or this will be just like last season if not worse - which i know seems the plan.

The hiring of Rocky only continues to show the settling for mediocrity and incompetence that exists within this franchise's management.

I have seen quiet a few mention this as being a solid hire from the way he had the AHL team playing for him on the way to the Calder title game.

I can't say on that either way on that so guess i'll have to judge by the results on the ice.

Much like the hiring of Tortorella

I'm sort on the fence with him i want to see what he can do to tighten this team up.

He has a lot of junk to work with so can he get them into a groove system wise that can make up for their lack of talent he did so with the Jackets so i guess the win column will show us.

I am scared for Carter Hart if he gets shelled again.

And i hope Sandstrom doesn't self destruct under the burden we seen test Hart's limits.

The problem with that is his game's defensive deficiencies don't get the puck on his stick too much when in his own zone.

Gotcha i just need to see what you see and i'm with you. It is only two years.

Worst case trade him maybe in the offseason. Don't Risto will be deflecting attention away to him so that is a plus....so he may just be the smaller turd in the bowl.

I've seen some stating that even though Briere hasn't learned what's needed to be an NHL GM and isn't qualified for an NHL GM position, they would be happy to see him replace Fletcher simply because it would be a change.

Yes i was one. I want some kind of change. Head coach was fine but the GM needs to go too.

And yes Homer of course but he ain't going anywhere. So yes something if it ain't but one thing needs to change in this ******** recipe.

Just more settling for that mediocrity and incompetence.

It isn't just settling but they just might not be good enough. It happen they are trying to build something it seems just don't know what yet for sure won't even guess.

And, there's many very large egos like Holmgren's, Lombardi's, Fletcher's, Flahr's getting in the way of being capable of admitting to the many mistakes that have been made with the management of this organization.

So you know what is already not going to happen. You just have not watch. All you can do it.

But, he's not prepared to be an NHL GM, yet.

There is no way you can sit here and say you are qualified to even say that you are just assuming.

Steve Yzerman didn't have any real experience besides working with Hockey Canada putting together some rosters and wanted to be in the front office of the Wings but was blocked by Holland and Nill.

Was also the guy for the Wild but the Lightning are the ones who landed him and well benefitted from his presence as their GM.

So there is no way you can say Danny CAN'T do it right now he has been working in the front office for the Flyer and helped manage the Main Mariners from like 2018 till 2021 when he became a part of the Flyers.

Sure i get you think he learned from Homer and all but there is no way we know what type of guy he will be if he was to get the GM job.

And yes just because Steve turned out to be great doesn't mean Danny will but come on bro give the man a chance before you say he can't.

I will wait to see before i claim anything. But yeah you keep telling people what they can't do.

I'm a true fan.  I'll watch this team play it's games even if they don't win a game in a season.  And I'll watch 5 or 6 or more NHL games each night as well.  I'm a hockey fan.  And, that won't change.

Good for you and good luck with that.

I have other things to do and don't have the time to waste to watch a team not play well.

And unless you're watching for free you are still supporting the team and it's management.

Until the Comcast board members wake up and remove him and Lombardi, the same $hit will only continue to repeat here.

And sounds like you know the outcome, so why watch - it is like watching a movie over and over again because you know how it ends - whatever floats your boat.

I choose something else to do.

Keep us posted...
