Hopefully Evanson sees this.

Stop playing 7 defenseman,  it doesn't work, especially when you're moving Reeves to your 3rd right wing spot.

Reeves as the 3rd rt wing turns your team into a 2 line team.

He didn't have a choice last night with the late scratch of Greenway, But yeah, Otherwise it messes things up too much.

Agree with moving hartman back to L1. While opponents have been focusing on the Kap-Zucc playmaking, Having Hartman in there gives another weapon and he could really benefit from being able to sneak around.
Nothing against Steel,  He 'earned' his way to that spot but partially because Freddie wasn't the right fit either.
Time to see how Steel could lead L3 with Boldy.
If Greenway is ok and when we get Zucc back, I'd have to think Reaves gets a healthy scratch a lot more depending on the opposition. Can't really take out Dewar and Shaw combo.

That game last night confirmed that Blues from St. Louis is always a serious team for us to compete. But we had some efforts too. Just looked for shots stats. We were able to place 35 shots vs their 23. The most shots made Kaprizov(6); Addison(5); Boldy(4); Gaudreau; Shaw; Brodin; Spurgeon (3 shots per each player); and the rest players from 0-2 shots.  That part was not bad at all, but unfortunately production was low (0 goals). I would say it was not a lucky game for us. Agree, the upcoming schedule on a road will be very difficult for our team. Hope we will have some nice memorable wins during this time.

I don’t quite understand why do they carry an extra defenseman but not an extra forward?

you would think they would be ready for these kind of issues.

This article explains why the Bruins carried seven defensemen rather than an extra forward:

Pros and cons of using seven defensemen

I'm guessing the same logic could be applied to the Wild...

That explains a little, but imo if they are going to go 7/11 they should platoon either Shaw or Dewar, or alternate and leave Reeves where he belongs, on the 4th line.
Bottom line they need to handle these last minute scratches differently.
