Even when some fans scoffed at the idea of him... "Meh, he's nothing"

But you are absolutely right.
Look up an example of good soldier, give all, and heart, and you'd find a picture of that guy!

Exactly. The guy would fight anyone, block shots with his face, and not back down to anyone with a smile on his face

I could be wrong, but I think Wes Walz just called a bunch of NHL defensemen "morons".

I think the "chess" thing was in reference to Spurgeon.

I hope coaches are in Matt Boldy's ear encouraging him to just continue doing what he is doing.
He gives me the feeling that he is on the cusp of breaking out in a big way.

Just a bit more NHL seasoning, and we could see just that as he showing flashes and snippets of brilliance already.

Yep. I think that contract he signed is going to look awfully good in 3 or so years
