SaucyJack Posted November 10 Posted November 10 (edited) My Internet informs me that Winnipeg’s 14-1 start to this 2024-25 season is the best first-15 game result in NHL history. I watched their condensed game highlights of yesterday’s home victory over Dallas, and they sure look good. But now, a Challenge for the Jets: road trip to Rangers, Lightning, and Panthers. All pretty good squads that will be looking at these Winnipeg visits as special. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. All games on ESPN+ (for USA viewers; subject to blackout in those areas). SaucyJack Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 (edited) It’s Game Time! Psyched to see Winnipeg continue their streak. But I’m tuning into the Rangers broadcast, at least for the beginning, because I’ve always liked Sam Rosen’s voice and call, for both hockey and football. (And this season is the end of his 30-year run. Matteau! Matteau!!!! ) I got my Tim Horton’s to sip, and can also dream about someday getting another puck commemorating a Caps Stanley Cup! Nice camera shots on TSN of celebrating Jets fans who made the trip to The Big Apple. On to the Sunshine State for 15-1 Winnipeg!! 1 Quote
Icechipper Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Still not selling out, but averaging 13,750, up from last season, according to Winnipeg Free Press. Quote
Icechipper Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Watched highlights. WOW. Jets down Rangers 6-3. Quote
radoran Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Honestly, teams that start the season hot don't impress me. As I told my wife at the start of the Phillies' season. I like the Jets. I would love for Winnipeg to WinnaCup. It's a long way away. 1 Quote
Brewin Flames Posted November 13 Posted November 13 (edited) Thought Scott Arniel was a horrid choice for coach, but he's got them rolling like a train. Edited November 13 by Brewin Flames 1 Quote
SaucyJack Posted November 15 Author Posted November 15 Too much sun and sand for the lads from Cold Country? The tremendous run looks to take a nick tonight, with the Lightning up 3-0, early 2nd period. Quote
