Vanflyer
......number of players with double digit goals: 11. Detroit also has 11, but has scored less goals and has a couple of d men with double digit goals. Boston has 10 (and chara has double digit goals. All the Flyers scorers that have double digit goals are forwards. That is a pretty amazing stat in that you can roll 4 lines all of which are capable of scoring. sarsippius
Always a positive rolling into the playoffs....hopefully Briere does his annual metamorphosis into a goal scorer too!
TedZep
I thought the lack of scoring from the defense may have been related to the incredible amount of man-games lost at the blue line, but Carle, Coburn and Timonen have plenty of assists, just not many goals and not much time missed. Vanflyer
@TedZepYeah, for whatever reason our defense seems pretty anemic to scoring goals. We have had one 10 goal scorer in the last 5 years (pronger three years ago). In my book, as long as the assists are coming that is fine. There are only 15 d-men in the entire league that are in double digits and most of them just barely. Kimmo is #14 overall in scoring and Carle #19.
