Giroux

Not to take anything away from Giroux because he's the real deal, but does he still put up these ridiculous numbers without Jagr ?

fair question to me. I'd say yes but sort of. On his assists, maybe. But a lot of goals G has scored this season are mostly on his merits. He's also the type of player that makes the guys playing on his line better. Having a caliber player like Jagr will certainly help but I think he'd still be enjoying success to almost the degree he is enjoying now.

Well if you mean taking Jagr out and plugging in Shelley, no probably not. But as long as he has someone with somewhat of a skillset...have you seen the passes Giroux makes on a regular basis. Or how determined he is on the forecheck, or along the boards?

Well, to be fair the same can be said about Jagr I guess (being productive playing Giroux). Still, I can't see Giroux putting up these numbers without Jagr. The reason is, even at 40 everyone in the league knows if you give Jagr room he'll kill you with his shot but then you have to keep your eye on Giroux. Without Jagr the Rangers shut down Giroux easily because of this.
