flyercanuck
Anyone else notice Wayne Simmonds showing Kris Letang what he thought of his "game" last night? I thought it was one of the highlights of the game.
flyerrod
Letang should be playing soccer with moves like that......
flyercanuck
Very talented player who's bought into the "Garys team" mentality.

terp
Very talented player who's bought into the "Garys team" mentality.I thought it was amazing and telling that he had the presence of mind to snap his head back like that 2 seconds after Bryzgalov robbed him of a sure goal and in the midst of arguing that it in fact went in. You have to be really focused on diving to think to do it at a time like that.
flyercanuck
Bylsma must drill this into their heads before each game.
terp
Bylsma must drill this into their heads before each game. The Pens aren't the only team ever to do a lot of it and I've sometimes wondered how a team gets to be like that. Having Crosby and Malkin as the foundation is a good start; they've been dominating and therefore selling calls for a long time. The fact that it has worked for the team doesn't hurt either. Phillygrump
@terpMany people say that teams adopt the mentality of their best player. I think this is another example of that happening. Crosby makes his career on diving and flopping. Its taken hold in Pittsburgh.

It cheapens the league. I still maintain. If you embellish, only you get the penalty, none of this 2 and 2 crap. and not only do you get the penalty but you get an extra 2 for wasting everyone's time. Doesn't the NHL -understand what a joke it is?And so I'm not misunderstood, I'm not specifically speaking to what other teams get away with. I don't like it when our guys did it. Carcillo while he was here was an embarrassment while he was up to those antics.

Agree totally, and glad Carcillo is gone for this reason.
